Shimano fishing reels

I have a lot of Ruger guns and I like them a lot, but not sure that one can say that you are paying for the name Ruger. They are typically lower priced guns but very well made.
Premium names I will pay for
Sitka/Kuiu
Leupold and Nightforce
Trigger Tech triggers have these on ARs and bolt action rifles
Nighthawk and Staccato 1911 and 2011
S&W revolvers
Benelli/Beretta
Dillon reloading press
Shimano reels
St Croix rods (both fly rods and casting)

Some already mentioned I will second:
Kuiu and First Lite are great, but First Lite does have some durability issues with their merino wool layers they have been trying to correct
Darn Tough socks are worth every penny
I primarily use Burris scopes, but looking across a canyon at 500 yards the difference between a Burris and a Swarovski was stunning. That said, I'm not going to upgrade any time soon, I just don't hunt out west enough for it to pay off.
Argali game bags are absolutely worth the price. When packing out my elk I had some cheap Alaskan bags and the guide had a couple Argali. I ordered new bags that night at camp.
Most everything else I use is a "I can get by with this" item.

Man, I just said the same thing yesterday. Bought a pair right before hunting season last year that are leaking.

Lacrosse Boots are nowhere near the quality they once were.
Filson Tin Cloth is bulletproof.

I will second this. Have a field coat and it's great.

Was Shimano but now mainly Daiwa
St Croix, US made if it's offered
Knipex
Trijicon
Eotech
Nice scopes, don't really have a brand favorite.

These are obviously amazing pliers, but I’ve got a pair of Dancos that are in year 4 of fishing , a lot of which is offshore, with no corrosion and they are 1/10th the price.
I’d love to have a pair of van staals but for that reason just can not justify the price tag

Russell Moc (Lifetime Warranty)
Lone Wolf (still running the same climber I bought 20 years ago)
Scott Archery (still running the Itty Bitty Goose I purchased over 20 years ago)

darn tough socks was my number one answer so I’ll go with osprey for hiking packs, fjallraven and kuhl for outdoor clothing and swazi for rainwear

Shimano fishing reels, I have everyone I have ever bought and some are older than most people on this board.
This. It’s my go to, and most of my reels are. I do have two Penn Battle 3s which are really nice that were gifts from the in-laws. Nice redfish setup and a great snapper rod.

(round two)
Dyneema fabric - think Kevlar or Gore-Tex - ropes, tents, backpacks, sails
Feathered Friends - if it's down - sleeping bags and jackets
Yairi guitars - campfire welcome everywhere
( a repeat ) Watershed dry bags - from lunch, to guns, to guitars, and even chain saws. If you need a ditch bag the one's with a purge valve can also be blown up.

I find they are reasonably priced as well.
I like surf fishing a lot, and I have an Okuma reel I bought probably 20 years ago that is still going strong, though I make it a point to rinse it thoroughly after use. I also find Okuma is reasonably priced for the quality, it's just not as popular in the Gulf region, I think.

Good hats (Southern String)
I also like Mossy Oak Companions line. Seems like something you could pass down. Very high quality on both of these links.

Also not very popular down here, but I've had exceptional service from all my penn reels. Never saw the need to spend shimano money on snapper winches.
