I have a wooden shed in the back yard that attracts these lil bastards every year. This year they seem worse. I see many more flying into the shed from under the eves than I’ve ever seen in the past. I haven’t even gone inside out of fear of these things. I have no idea if the nest is huge or if it’s just a bunch of smaller ones.

Does Orkin, Terminix, or Dugas pest control services work on wasps? Do they even do this type of work or would I need to contact a specialized exterminator for this?

Im looking for someone to go in there, find where they are, get rid of them, and do whatever they could to prevent them from making more nests.

I’ve never heard of demon. Does it prevent wasps from coming back or does it just kill them? Can I spray under the eves and such to prevent them from coming back?

Tempo keeps dirt daubers from making nests. Not sure about paper wasps but you won't see spiders in or around outside of your house either.

kill what is there now, then use pine sol, dump whole bottle in gallon sprayer, fill with water, spray everywhere.

they hate the smell and will never return if you missed any and new ones wont go in there until smell is gone.

great to use under boat front decks as well, also keeps the horse flies away

Lots of good info in here. Thanks guys!

If anyone else has anything to contribute I’d like to hear it as well. I can never have too many ideas to combat wasps and hornets.

I need to try this. My Brown Widows started early this year - I’ve killed over 20 on my back patio already in the past couple weeks. A few weeks ago when it was still cold I cleaned out my shed before the wasps got active. On one sawhorse I found 8 Brown Widow egg sacs. While it’s fun torching them individually, I can’t get ahead when they are cranking out babies by the thousands.

And the damn red wasps always nest right above the inside of the shed doorway. You can’t see a nest when you open the door, but the minute you try to step in they drop on your head.

That's nasty but effective stuff, definitely want to keep that away from pets or ponds. I spray that once a year around my workshop, garage, and the brick supports under my house.

I use these in my deer stands and in my shop... they last for 4 months - NO PEST STRIPS
You can buy them at most big box stores.

I also spray TALSTAR in my shop at least twice a year.

Suit up in pants, long socks, and tight tennis shoes/tuck your pants into your socks, tuck your shirt in, wear long sleeves and gloves, a facemask, take out a life insurance policy, and be a man and get a can of wasp spray and go in there!

But srsly idk, that’s what I’d do. Once you do get rid of them, a friend of mine swears up and down that wasps will not build a nest on a baby blue surface, so maybe try painting your shed baby blue? Idk if that’s true but his baby blue boat is always wasp free
