Warmth while hunting in a Tree Stand

what is the best way to keep warm during these unseasonably cold snaps while hunting? Anyone take any impressive bucks this season?

No real tips other than for me, once my feet get cold I struggle staying after that point so I try to keep my feet warm first and foremost.

Same. I like the hot hands/toe warmers.

My go to is a hot hand under my skull cap and hot hands in a hand warmer. Also I have great rain gear. If I get wet I'm done. I have a umbrella that attaches to tree. Works great. I can stay all day without getting wet even if it's raining.

I get the hot hands pack that has the adhesive backing and stick it on the inside of my 2nd layer over my heart. So inside my insulateds, but on top of my thermals. It’s amazing how well it works.

Milwaukee makes a heated jacket that runs off the m12 batteries. I’m very tempted.

re: Warmth while hunting in a Tree Stand
I just learned yesterday that an engineer that I work with has bluetooth enabled heating socks with zone control....that is no shite.

I had no idea such a thing existed.

ETA: I have no idea about the sorcery involved in this but I can ask him about the details if you like.

good quality gears and layering.

Lets say I was hunting this morning (30* or less)

Cabela's E.C.W.C.S. Heavyweight Top and Bottom and I have the whole Sitka Stratus system which would all be on lol

but any good mid layers, a vest, and a jacket

Heavy pants and bibs

2 wool socks + lacrosse 800g boots

Keep your core warm. Warmer the core, warmer the blood. Layers layers layers. Proper wool socks and liners will help keep the temps in. Also properly lined boots will go a long way.

I will put on a pair of ankle socks first then stick the toe warmers on top of my toes. Next I’ll put on my wool socks making sure the toe warmers remain in place. This has been my go to for years. If my feet get cold, I’m done. They never get cold this way.

Chemical heat packs in boots and Milwaukee battery heated hoodie. Both are money. Heat packs in pockets sometimes as well

re: Warmth while hunting in a Tree Stand
Just got back from Hunting in Oklahoma and was in the low teens in the morning. I had those body warmer packs with the adhesive stickies and put them on my legs and upper body on top of my thermals once I climbed up. Game changer I stayed warm.

Layers. Merino, fleece, then insulated. Thin wool socks with the toe heat packs under your toes.

Super thin liner socks topped with thicker merino socks.

I'll put hot hands in my muck boots once I get to the stand. Just don't do it before you walk in. If your feet sweat on the walk in you are toast.

Quality beanie

Merino base layers, quality fleece pants, puffy vest.

Windproof outer layers

I've stayed warm for 10+ hour sits in sub freezing that way.
