Nothing against Louisiana, but if you are a guy like a Jordan why are you hunting Louisiana for deer? Are they local? It’s a damn fine buck don’t get me wrong, just seems like there’s better buck hunting elsewhere.

They literally hunt deer all over the country. Most follow the rut patterns and maximize their deer hunting season. Not sure on if this case was during the rut or not, but it's Honeybreak...

His dad literally made millions on camo, hunting shows, and being a nice guy. Things all of us do on a daily basis and WISH we could do for a living. Yet he's getting crushed on here for doing what makes his family money. Lol

It's amazing the class envy and jealousy you see on hunting forums. For a demographic that slants overwhelmingly conservative and capitalistic, some hunters display a disturbing amount of these traits online. "Wah! He's got more land than I do! I don't like it". Nevermind that a good percentage of these celebrity hunters built their circumstances from the ground up. Take a look at Lee Lakosky. Basically leveraged every dime he had, went out on a limb with no guarantee of success and made it happen.

Preach

It’s WAY easier to sit back and talk crap from the sidelines than it is to nut up and go build a business.

it fascinates me the way people react to someone killing a giant deer. Almost as soon as a picture makes its way to the internet, you have people who begin trying to poke holes in the hunt

Amen. The comments here alone are comical. Pure petty jealousy on part of the naysayers and critics. I could understand if i went out and shot a deer like this as it would truly be beginners luck and I’d be due some shite for being red-arse lucky. I can understand being aggravated with that type of situation.

But if his kid is a legit hunter who puts effort into his sport, good on him. Just say something complimentary and move on.

Post some of the comical comments made by jealous posters in this thread. I’m having a hard time finding them. All I’m seeing is comments made about these seemingly nonexistent jealous posters. Tia

The intro song for the Duck Hunting episode is still a weekly watch for me on youtube.
Also, the Waterfowl Widowmaker is the GOAT. Loved watching those as a kid. Didn't one of them pass away? I should google it. I hope not, man I'd love to see some new content, with either of them.

Tyler has had a REALLY good year

Who wouldn’t with unlimited resources and the ability to hunt the best managed white-tail properties in the world?

Hell if I hunted all these places, even I could probably get an 8 point or something.

I always watch the duck huntin episode at least a couple times every season.

FYI, all episodes are on the mossy oak GO site.

Appreciate it. Tyler is a solid young man and comes from a good family.

One thing I would point out, over the past 30 years, Realtree has given millions of dollars to organizations like DU, Delta Waterfowl, NWTF, QU, RMEF and countless other non profit conservation groups. That was all possible because of Bill Jordan and his commitment to the outdoors.

Yes, he became quite wealthy in the outdoor industry, but he was always willing to step up and give back. That’s something that many of the newer companies no longer feel an obligation to do.

Lastly, I would add that one of the reasons Realtree is involved with Honey Brake is because of HB’s association with Louisiana 4H Shooting Sports. The folks at HB are huge supporters of youth shooting and Realtree is as well.

There are countless assholes in the outdoor business, I’ve spent 30 years dealing with many of them, but Tyler isn’t one of them.

As for the question about whether guys who kill so many deer each year for TV truly enjoy what they do? I know lots of people in the business who could not care less about the animals and view them only as a means to an end. Believe me, it’s something that I often feel partly responsible for along with my fellow producers, however Tyler isn’t one of them.

He’s a good kid who will continue supporting our youth and our conservation groups.

GB - do these celebrities pay when they hunt with outfitters? They sure seem to get the pick of the litter. I’ve always felt like you’re kind of sucking hind teat as average joe if you pay to hunt with an outfitter that also hosts TV shows. Thoughts?

I am pretty sure they did a long term lease with HB, GB would know for sure.

Geauxbrown just curious what’s WRP an acre going for today? And how many acres are actually enrolled in there at Honey Brake?
