If you said this in the past £uck you:

quote:

This Administration will not wait for the next mass shooting to heed that call. We will take action to end our epidemic of gun violence and make our schools and communities safer. Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets. We owe it to all those we’ve lost and to all those left behind to grieve to make a change. The time to act is now.

I’m not opposed to background checks. The other stuff is an infringement.

Well, Beto was pretty clear in his groups intent.

On the other hand, biden is a career politician who understands to some extent that it could back fire (excuse the pun).

They are coming for them and have been for years. Whether they can actually take them, is the question.

I do believe they will try harder than ever now that they control everything and it is up to the people to stop them. Also, passing legislation at the local and state level to stop federal gun control is very important.

“Just two weeks to slow the spread”.

“It’s only so the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed”.

“If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep
It.”

“It’s only a temporary tax”.

Your stupidity makes me sad that you can vote.

A lot of stupidity that press release. As a retired military person, I didn't know that semiautomatic rifles were "weapons of war". High capacity magazines? Hell, high capacity meant using a belt fed machine gun in a M-240G or a M-249 SAW with a 200 round box.

How many mass shootings occurred in schools or anywhere outside of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during Trump's presidency? How did the numbers compare to when George W Bush or Barack Hussein Obama were in the WH? I predict mass shootings to increase significantly under any Democratic president moving forward, whether real or "manufactured" to push their anti 2nd Amendment agenda.

Are they going to address the large numbers of black on black gun violence in Democratic stronghold cities like Chicago, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Washington, D.C.?

What have the House of Rep members from inner city districts done to ensure that their constituents are safe? Elijah Cummings (RIP), Hank Johnson, John Lewis (RIP), et al. Just read this morning that the city of Atlanta is considering putting a statue of John Lewis on the state capitol grounds.

Does everyone reading this post know that 58% of ALL new gun owners in 2020 were black americans??? Maybe they know that defunding the police and restrictive gun laws don't work?

Sorry for the rant!

You need to learn more about what they mean by “background checks”, and how they would enforce them.

I will ignore any laws that are passed. If that turns me into a criminal, so be it.

The background check issue is as big a problem or worse because it's really a method for creating a de facto gun registry.
