I'm sure it varies for different people. I've quit for 3 years before. During those 3 years I wanted one every time I got in my truck, went hunting, went fishing, went to work, or drank beer. I quit for the month of January this year.

In summary, you may never feel normal, but I wish you well.
I know many people that have quit without issues. Me, I have issues.

I dipped for many years and finally quit a few years ago.

It will get better with each passing day, week, month, year but you will never totally get over the pull of the great god nicotine.

Hold strong and don't take the habit back up.

I quit dipping Copenhagen 2 months ago or so. I got pissed off that the prices are over $8/can. And at just over 1 can per day, I got angry at myself for wasting money I could be wasting on something better. Anger is a big motivator for me.

Quit cold turkey. It probably started getting better at a month and a half. Keep your head down and stay at it.

How bad do you want it?

If you don’t want to stop you’re wasting your time.

Probably not the best advice but picking up smoking might make it easier.

But seriously, good luck and stick with it.

WTF? Seriously?

I quit cold turkey about 3 years ago. I forgot my can in my truck and instead of going outside to get it I was like, what if I didn't? It progressed from there but $8/can would be some powerful incentive to quit. Is this price from some commie state like CA?

You will feel normal soon. Keep with it. Best decision you’ve made. Being a slave to dip is no way to live.

In the process myself. I ordered some nicotine and tobacco free dip this morning.

I quit cold turkey about 8 years ago. I could start again today and it'd be like I never quit. I still have to stop myself from buying it quite often. For me it hasn't gotten any better. If anything its getting worse with stress at work picking up.

So for me, longer than 8 years and it's getting harder the past few months. Its a damn hard thing to quit

Power to you and periods I did go completely nicotine free, sunflowers seeds helped me. You can do it baw.

I switched to rogue and zyn pouches (tobacco free) thanks to the OB before this past hunting season and haven’t bought a can of dip since which is the longest I’ve gone since I started at 16.

Would like to look at cutting this out one day maybe but I see it as progress for myself.

$8/can?!! Been slowly creeping up in GA and it’s now almost $5/can for regular Cope. I will say that that the quality and consistency has been spotty. Some cans were ground so fine it was like mush. I hope this will help me quit

Yea the cost of the habit of dipping or smoking these days is enough not to do it.

Reminds me, when we went to Garlinburg/Pigeon Forgw for spring break, I was blown away at how cheap Copenhagen long cut was. I could buy 2 cans for 7.00-8.00 dollars. Legit half the price it is here in TX. I should’ve gotten multiple logs while there.

I quit about 10 years ago. I still crave it all the time especially while driving, hunting, or fishing. It's usually about once a year I buy a can. it makes me sick like it's the first time when I try to dip it. Can gets thrown away.

I dipped for over 20 years and have not had a dip in three years. You have to want to quit for it to work. Wanting to quit is the key.

Quit almost 20 years ago.

The nicotine fix will detox in a few weeks.

The habit of something in the lip- i beat that with Smokey Mountain dip. Available at some wal marts, and Sportsmans Warehouse in Slidell. The Natchez, and Covington wal mart has it.

Try the Grinds coffee pouches. If you like coffee they are good. And they have some caffeine so it gives you a little jolt. Black coffee, wintergreen, and peppermint are all good. Some of the others are too sweet for me.

If you don't care about still using nicotine try zyn. I gave up dip using them, tobacco free nicotine pouches.

Still spending money on something but it's non cancer causing I guess?
