Does anyone own a Daiwa Zillion?

I have 3 of the 21zillion SVs. Mine are the JDM versions. Great reels

I just bought one. We shall see.

I have a couple of the Curado DCs. They are pretty great. They are both about 2 years old so, I can't comment on the newer versions, but I love these 2.

Find the size you want that is either named Tatula or Curado. I would avoid the SLX as the upgrade in gears to the Curado is truly worth it.
I'm definitely a Curado guy all the way back to the forest green 200e7 that still performs flawlessly but when the SLX's came out I waited a year and read the reviews. All positive. So I bought one for $100 brand new.
I have had zero issues with it and now probably have around 8 of them in various models.
Another I just bought (actual bought 2 of them) is the 13 Fishing Concept A2. A friend who fishes probably 10-12 tournaments a year swears by them. He recently let me throw it to check out the new rod it was on. I was like man rod feels nice but what model reel is this?
Bass Pro has them on sale now for $80. Retail was $180. They're clearing them out for the new line.
eta: Just went picked up another one in case the OB has a run on them

lol. I think after 12-15 years it’s time for me. I appreciate all the suggestions. I have some time next week to do a little research and I’ll probably end up getting 2. I might look at upgrading my Berkley Lightening Rods too.

Shimano slx reels from academy are fairly priced and are decent enough.

I use all shimano. Have around 30 and 15 being curado dc. Great reels and no issues. Can go from Slx up to matanium and they are all outstanding

I'm using a 7'-2 medium action GLoomis for weightless worm. What are you looking to get?

If you want longevity Shimano is the best choice. Their SLX XT is the best buy in reels right now. The Curado M series is a nice step up, especially the 150M. You can get new Shimano Scorpion 24's off eBay right now for $200 if you feel like waiting for them to ship from Japan.
I recently dumped all my Lews and 13Fishing reels to go back to strictly Shimano. The SLX XT, SLX DC, Curado K Curado M, and Scorpion 24 are just too good.

I have the JDM SV model, it's very nice.
But I'll be honest, it's not a huge step up from my Coastal SV TW. If the $ difference matters I'd get the Coastal.

Your current stuff is probably perfectly fine..
But if you want to spend money the best all around combo from and Abu guy is an stx revo and a Veritas 7' medium rod. Don't pay retail. Shop around. Can get it for around 300. No need to pay for anything more.
