So you would get the hurricane over the hemi with the Etorque bs if you were buying a 2026 Ram?

Eh, that's kinda like picking which venereal disease you want. I guess I'd get the hurricane standard output if I had to pick between those. It's still too new for my liking.

I would prefer the hemi without the e torque over both of the above.

Unfortunately that is not an option.

My other thought is an F150 with the 5.0 but that 10yr warranty is hard to pass up.

Or the GM little diesel but not sure I would do enough long distance driving to make it worth it.

I don't feel too bad about installing the Banks product, and I didn't buy it thinking I would get any real performance or fuel mileage gains, but had I bought it thinking I would get some sort of improvement, I would have been pissed. If anything, I can hear the turbo maybe 2 decibels louder spooling up, and it's an annoying sound anyways.

I bought it specifically for the insurance of removing the grid heater bolt fiasco. Which is insane they don't have it as a maintenance item, no recall and won't warranty it if it does detonate your engine within warranty. It seems like one of those three things would be in order.

I have had both. Zero issues with either. People complain about auto stop, but since it's disabled during cabin cooling/heating, and tow mode, I rarely have to deal with it.

Do you think they will ever stick the gas Cummins 6.7 in the Rams?

The numbers on that matched my 07 6.7 when new.

Do not want. Weighs as much as the diesel, likely going to cost as much as the diesel, likely less reliable than the diesel.

Nope. Do not want.

The new 7.2 on the other hand, eh, maybe.

It's about $5,000. Mine went out a couple weeks ago at 89k miles. Luckily I was a dumbass when I bought the truck and let the guy sell me a bumper to bumper warranty. Cost me $106. Guess it paid for itself.

Get whichever one you like best, except id rule out the diesel if you aren't driving much.

Well there are no good choices in the halfton market, just the better of the worse.

But I can't justify a 3/4 ton gasser at the moment.

I think it’s actually a CP8 which a modified CP4 that contains debris if it fails.

From DieselArmy: Providing fuel pressure is a new Bosch CP8 high-pressure injection pump. This new injection pump is said to be an improvement over the failure-prone Bosch CP4, although we’re not exactly sure how it’s different. Some suspect the CP8 will feature an improved internal pump and cam lobe profile, and the name change is purely to escape the bad publicity of the CP4 and its variants.

It sure looks EXACTLY like a cp4 to me

Once a few of them get out there I'll be able to find out exactly what it is.

Just be aware the transmission is not considered part of the power train according to the experience of my ex Dodge owning friends..

I told you what to do.

191k miles this morning. Most of them at 90+ or redlining to get there.

Still no issues

Tows flatbed and 11k lbs of tractor/implements just fine when needed.
