Who's coming with me?
The Indian giant squirrel, or Malabar giant squirrel, (Ratufa indica) is a large tree squirrel species in the genus Ratufa native to India. It is a large-bodied diurnal, arboreal, and mainly herbivorous squirrel found in South Asia.
R. indica has a conspicuous two-toned (and sometimes three-toned) color scheme. The colours involved can be creamy-beige, buff, tan, rust, brown, or even a dark seal brown. The underparts and the front legs are usually cream coloured, the head can be brown or beige, however there is a distinctive white spot between the ears. Adult head and body length varies around 14 inches and the tail length is approximately 2 ft. Adult weight - 4.41 lb.

I wonder if they're tougher or easier to skin than a cat squirrel.

Very pretty rat.
Looks like some stoner tie-dyed him while high.

That's a big motherfricker!
If our squirrels sound like a deer walking through the woods, those sumbitches must sound like a stampeding wildebeest.

Go deer hunting in Vietnam. But your squirrel might be bigger.
Cool story

In southern Vietnam, an unusual house cat-sized deer relative has escaped the efforts of wildlife biologists. While local lore suggested it was still around, attempts to find one alive had failed—and even a dead specimen hadn't been seen in 30 years.
Cool story

I'll guide for a small fee. I've honestly never seen these before while in India.

I kill fox squirrels over 3 lbs on a regular basis. Pecan fed.

Hard pass due to location. Now, a Mandarin Wood duck hunt, maybe.

They got literal GDCKs down there. Big nope.

Bet if they had red tail hawks, they would only have a few of them rats. Fox squirrels here catch hell.
