Late to the thread, but I hunt south of Klondike in mallard bay. Got a 4 man limit opening day and 10 the next morning. Took a buddy mid week and only saw / shot 2. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

We had 3 yesterday morning, 0 on pm hunt. Crazy thing is we watched a pretty decent amount trickle in Thur afternoon. Everyone around us started flooding their fields, so I expected some loss of birds but damn. Good news is we are seeing a lot more doves.we killed 5 on afternoon hunt teal hunt.

Kemo Jr group shot three Sunday and he heard one outfit cancelled most of their dates due to lack of birds.
Worst I have seen and heard in quite a few years.

Hunted everyday of this teal season. Opening day saw 3, killed 3. Didn't see another teal for the whole fricking season. Horrible!

Here's my report:
Saturday opening morning in venice, killed 4. Didnt scout and went in blind but hunted upriver and sounded like downriver did better. Saw more summer mallards than teal.
Hunted this past saturday and killed 9 Saturday morning, 14 Saturday afternoon, and 4 sunday morning.

Made 6 hunts. Lake Boeuf and Bayou Black - Never saw the first teal. The week before the season, there were a few hundred teal in Lake Bouef. They disappeared.

Sounds like another typical duck season in store for us this year. This has gotten way beyond frustrating.

Excellent teal season. Did not get to hunt every day , but me and my three boys limited every day that we hunted. We only went in the afternoons because of an otherwise busy schedule. Thornwell area.
