You were in the wrong, but the guys handled the situation terribly. I guess you're like me, I know I would never mess with anyone's stuff or disrespect the property/residents in any way, so I tend to take offense when someone assumes it and treats me like I am, even though they're within they're rights to do so

It's really all about the initial contact between the said parties. Show some respect and you will receive some in return. I understand some shitheads are different but act professional. Hell, now I wish i would have kept all the bass i caught.

Yea I had a thread about it a while back.

The difference is, they were fishing from my yard and my neIghbors; almost every day. At one point there were three different groups of kids that would fish in the yard and theyd rotate days making it to where someone was back there basically every day. They were leaving trash in my yard and messing with the neighbors stuff. At one point they were also trying to push each other into the water.

Being that the OP is 23 (not 13) I can safely assume he wasn't up to any nefarious acts of any sort and minding his own business. Like I said before tho, I can sympathize with the neighborhood inhabitants. It just sucks the situation went down like it did.

When you own land, or are in charge of it, nothing pisses you off more than a trespasser. It triggers something in your head that makes you want to whip the trespassers arse or have them incarcerated, or make them die.

I've been on both side of the fence. One time I put my beagles in a thicket in the middle of some dudes cotton field. Dead of winter, colder than shite, I figured whoever's land it was wouldn't be around, or at worst wouldn't give a shite if a couple boys were running rabbits. Ended up in a similar situation as you. Land owner went heavy on the frick you's and mother frickers right off the bat. I took offense. He decided to go the cop route. I grabbed my dogs and left.

My neighbor's kid and his friends got my youngest brother and his friends kicked out of a pond by doing the same thing. My brother and his friends would just go catch a few fish, take a picture and throw them back. The other group of kids were leaving trash everywhere, trying to keep fish, and generally acting like idiots. It sucked for my brother and all but you gotta draw the line somewhere.

Yeah, I actually learned to control my temper. I would be in deep deep shite if I would have swung at the old bastard. The sheriff was laughing at the end of it and told me to call his cell phone if I ever need advice on what to do in a situation.

Exactly what I told some of the kids there who actually knew what they were doing. I said they (the troublemakers) were the proximate cause behind the booting of everyone.

Sorry, one bad apple spoiled the bunch. Get to steppin.

It always happens like that unfortunately. Lesson learned, but am still pissed because the fishing was dynamite.

There you go

Your avy pic always makes me stop and stare at it's awesomeness. Then after a little while I realize that there's no boobs showing, and I think "what if it's just a skinny guy in a pink thong with his dick tucked between his legs?" and I'm like
Then I remember this is the OB and that's not possible, so it's awesome again

I'd still be pissed as well. I'm not a big guy by any means, but I don't know what I would've done if someone grabbed me by the neck like that. Maybe I would've snapped his arm, maybe I would've cried and peed my pants. I don't know.

If he grabbed you around the throat then he fricked up..If he left a mark the cops would have arrested him on the spot.
He was the developer, not the land owner.
Even if he owned the land i'm pretty sure it doesnt give you the right to assault someone who's just fishing.
You had a case for sure if you were given the combination to get in the gate by a homeowner.

P.S. You didnt answer the question of the red paint

This thread shows that nothing good can come from kayaking.

we used to fish back there all the time in middle school. My friend that lived in that subdivision had permission to fish the front pond on the left and we always caught fish without any problems. sucks that that happened to ya
