I have no trouble believing he was over the top. Try managing a real estate transaction with him-not much different.

I'm just a little envious you were pulling them out like that. Was it the one all the way in the back? I knew there were good channel cats running in there, didn't know about the bass. If you were up front, that is where he hangs out, and still owns most of the lots around it, so that might have poured gasoline on the fire.

Hey, what happens on the OB stays on the OB.

All the way down the street on the right there is a big lake full of cypress trees. Caught sone 4+ lbers and most were bigger than 2.

Cool. That's the one my lot is on, although the damn cormorant shiite has just about killed all the trees on my end.

You are spot on. That damn bugle is one reason I haven't built there yet.

Sorry you got to have a close encounter with the boss man, but understand where he is coming from. He still has major dollars tied up down that street, about all he has left in the development.

So, now that your activity has been shut down, share what you caught them on?

Throw a brushhog (baby) AT the tree and let it run down between the knees all the way to the bottom working it the same way as a worm. Fish on majority of the time. I would fish every cypress in there and catch at least a bass or two at each one. Very aggressive and larger fish most of the time. Enjoy!

Can I come fishing with you on your lot? I really could use some fresh fillets for a fish fry.

When I was 14-17 age range, Me and a friend would fish a Lake/Bayou in North Monroe. We knew several people who let us launch from their property.

One day, we skulled up to some Alligator grass and started ripping some good bream on popping bugs. This woman comes out of her house and stomped down to the bank.

She tells me I'm trespassing. I say I have permission from so and so who lives right down the road. She's yelling, screaming about navigable waterway's. About this time I got a hit and set the hook.

She hobbled up to her house. A few minutes later her husband comes out of the house with a shotgun,
points it at us and says he's gonna shoot if we don't leave. We left before gettin shot.

Tigers Win2,

I am not sure you saw this yet, but the MR340 is postponed...which may work better for me, but may suck for you. If you still want to do the race and need boots on the ground to help you with the late change and I can help.

Couldn't you press some kind of assault with a deadly weapon charges or something for that?

When my dad was younger he said he and a friend were fishing a public waterway, hitting all the skinny canals and sloughs off a larger canal. They turned into one and there was a guy in a boat down it who started yelling at them. About the time they realized he was running a trot line they caught one of his other line in the prop (the guy was running lines across the whole canal like he owned it). He started bitchin about them hitting his lines and telling them to GTF. While they were trying to untangle the guys line from the prop, the guy pulled out a pistol and started waving it around and bitching some more. He said at that point his buddy said frick this and just cut the dudes line up an GTFO.

Go figure, a guy who approved of stealing the rod from academy would trespass

Yeah, I got word a few weeks ago that the race was unlikley. I'm all signed up for next year through their voucher system. Looks like I'll be doing the Teche race as my "big" race for this year.....

Thanks for the offer of help- I almost signed up for the replacement race, the Kawnnivore, on the kansas river, but it was only 100 miles and it's just to far to drive from Baton Rouge for that short of a race.

I may hunt you down next year for support on the 340.......
