Scar 17. I can use if for Self defense and can hunt with it. Its light for a 30 cal rifle and one of the most reliable battle weapons in the world today. I also have about 2K rds of 7.62 ammo.
Few of my FN pieces.

I could make the same case that I can kill nearly anything, short of tweetie birds with my .45. Also have more than 3 shots for home defense

One gun currently in the safe that I would no doubt keep would be my great grandpa's old Springfield 1903 chambered in 30-06. Passed from him to my grandpa and then to me. Been through hell and back, killed many deer and would no question be the last in the safe.
I'm yet to get the wingmasters, A5, or any other guns set to be passed down to me so this could change one day, but I ain't in no rush.

I lost my safe and contents in a boating accident
That said, hard to beat a good .22 rifle.

Depends on of I'm grabbing it because the world is ending or because I can only save one from a house fire.
End of the world AR15
Save for sentimental reasons Great grandfather's AT sweet 16

AR-15 for sure.
If I can only have 1 gun, things are probably about to be pretty bad.
The AR gives me the greatest all around capabilities.
+ ammo isn't heavy, and lots of it around.

Can I throw them all away and go buy a new 12 ga? If it had to be one I already have itd be my shitty 870 express 12ga because it's the most versatile. I'd gladly chunk that for a new 12 though

Remington 1100 that belonged to my grandfather. Haven't shot it in some time but it's a beautiful gun that brings back great memories.

I inherited a lot of 30's to 60's model firearms when my dad passed away, mostly American doubles and winchester rifles but it would have to be a gun he bought at a navy exchange at pearl harbor during ww2. It's a browning superposed Diana grade 20 ga. It was his favorite gun so it's mine.

I agree. Was going to say .22, also, but you beat me to it.

I love mmy speedmaster,but I love it's daddy,even more.
Model 550-1.It's more accurate, and also shoots shorts and longs and LR.
still,wouldn't be my #1 choice.
