Most important item in your hunting bag?

Besides gun, ammo, license?
For me when big game hunting it is binoculars by a mile, I would walk back to camp and be late on the stand if I forgot them

Binoculars and it’s not even close.
Toilet Paper is up there too.

Toilet paper. Lost enough socks and shirt sleeves in my ignorant youth. Now I’ve grown wise and never leave the tp.

Binoculars for sure, then TP second...Last week in the midwest, walked to my stand on public land over a half mile back...hung my stand and saw that I forgot the binos in the truck...walked all the way back to the truck and back in because there was no way i was gonna sit on stand bowhunting without them.

Thermacell is a good one.
I vote for my headlamp though.
ETA: Binos and range finder are standard gear so I didn’t even consider them.

Flask of Jim Beam, 6 pack of miller lite, beechnut

I’d rather feel around in the dark than forget my thermacell

GPS because I hunt a lot of public land. I do not rely on a phone because the service can go in and out.

Gps. I would still be in Montana without one

I have zero use for binoculars.
Toilet paper for me.

I don't get the allure of binoculars for hunting...unless you have 400+ yard views.
I would rather scope a deer, that way I'm already close to the trigger anyway. My environment isn't set up to give you enough time to bino, decide to shoot, then get the gun up and ready.
That's just me I guess
Eta- and when bow hunting, it's so thick most if the time you can decipher with the naked eye

Cell Service does not affect GPS signal. GPS on your phone ALWAYS works as long as you have power.

Down booties. I'm not about to sit here all day with cold feet
