Full size bed is nice, no doubt. Crewmax cab is nicer.

When I looked at them, the back seat didn't fold flat down the lor up, and the 5.5ft bed is for baby stuff. Kinda pointless for a truck IMHO. I'm not the type to sacrifice functionality for good looks

Crewmax has been awsome with the kids. They're 3 and 1 so it makes life easy when swapping car seats in and out along with hauling the massive overnight bags my wife packs. when they get a bit older I will def get the smaller cab to have the longer bed. Often times I find myself hooking the trailer up because of the short bed.

I wanted the crew max cab but also didn't want a note. I stroked a check for the truck and it was within my price range and should last a while. Got a little girl but she should have enough room in the back seat for now

I didn't mention looks. It's much bigger than the double cab. I've owned both, crewmax all day every day. I can throw way more shite back there.

I can still put everything I need in the smaller bed. It's not as nice, but it's worth losing it there to gain the room in the cab. Adults don't fit in the back of a double cab that well.

Giving up one function for another. I had the Crewman and will again. Its because I carry more people in mine than other stuff.

I have a Sequoia now but plan on getting my wife a new bigger SUV soon so I can get a truck.

I guess I carry too many tools and other shite to ever fit in a crewmax. My big toolbox is always full. It won't even fit in short bed trucks

Thats me. I would love to have a crew cab truck, but for me, it completely defeats the purpose of having a truck in the first place. If you put a toolbox in a short bed, you pretty much dont have a bed left.

You can get a long bed in 1/2 ton crew cabs now. I know the smaller CC Chevy/GMC trucks have a 6.75ft bed. The Ford does too. OP's Tundra has it. I have an 04 2500HD CC with a 6.75ft bed. It is the full crew cab also.

8ft beds are a huge PITA to park, and I've always got along fine with a 6.75ft one. I can still fit a four wheeler in the bed with the gate down, so that's good

I had an F150 with sync that sucked donkey balls. The Tundra Entune Entertainment is way better than Sync. Plenty of room and all of the controls are easy to use and seats are really comfortable.

Congrats, you bought a great truck. I had a 2002 that I put 250k on that needed tires, brakes, fluids, a timing belt, and a water pump over its life for me. I sold it top a friend and it is still going at 350k.

Currently own a 2007 that has 135k and no expenses besides maintenance. It will pull my 25' World Cat no problem but struggled getting it up the ramp without the tires spinning. Once I discovered the Limited Slip Button, that took care of that. I bought it for $22.5k and could probably sell it for $16k. I don't care if it gets 13/14 mpg, other brands will cost more to own...

I got a great deal on a 2012 crew cab last year. Had about 40,000 miles on it when I bought it and got it for right at 25. I've really enjoyed it so far.

Looks are subjective anyway. I personally don't like the looks of crew cab trucks. To me single cab trucks with 6' beds look the best. But that's not what I drive.
As far as function goes, each have advantages. Have to make up your mind which is more functional to you. Bigger cab or normal size bed.
