Box stand with food plots out left and right window. 8 acres of boom sage and Cherokee briars out front surrounded by oaks. Best rub I’ve seen so far is on a china berry tree out there.

Wood ducks are flying through to our pond this morning.
.270 short mag
A bit windy, but it’s blowing perfectly for my stand.
In my big box this morning, so of course the heater is fired up.
The rut has started and the conditions are perfect here. I couldn’t think of a better morning to run into the big 8 on my camera, so hopefully I get lucky.

Just had a mild panic attack when a sparrow decided my furry, floppy eared hat would make a suitable nesting spot. Heart rate down to about 132 bpm now.
