G45. Best of both worlds and best out of the box trigger Glock has ever produced.

Glock. Any of them. Pick your caliber and go. Hk vp9. Sig p320 x5 legion (although it's heavy and not really designed for pure home defense).

Prefer the 19x or 19? Was just researching the gen 5s

19x and it isn't that close between the 19x and the 19

two 19 round mags and a 17 round mag.
Trigger on the 19x is better and it comes with night sites.

I'd still suggest you try the VP9 as well prior to you buying anything.

Oh, please don’t call a magazine a “clip”.

Why does this twist you gun people so bad? Hell, over half of you can't even use past participle correctly. It makes you people look really odd.

BTW, clip is actually correct. A magazine is a place. A clip is a thing. The gun crowd screwed this up long ago and no one bothered to correct it.

Im all for a Glock 19, but since the OP isnt trying to carry it concealed give me the full size. Hell, might as well just jump to a 34 with rds.

No it isn't. A "clip" can be used to hold ammunition together to quickly reload a magazine. Military ammunition is often packaged and distributed in this way, for this purpose.

Yes. Just as a "fork" is both a thing and can be used to describe a certain type of road intersection (among a number of other uses).

Because precision in language is important. Otherwise, you get things like "AR" being interpreted as "Assault Rifle"(no such thing), and, of course, "the shoulder thing that goes up" and all that sort of nonsense.

Having said that, folks jump too quickly on the "clip" thing and I'm guilty of it as well. It is quite incorrect, though, to describe a ubiquitous box magazine as a "clip", in my opinion.

(ETA: And this is rich from a guy who consistently denies various safety devices are "safeties" - particularly if they do not comport to your mental model of a latch, button or lever that prevents an incompetent person from intentionally shooting himself or others.)

I got a S&W M2.0 a while back. 17+1 capacity. It is great. I also got a rail-mounted light from Amazon for about $25. That shite will light up a whole room.

ETA: Adding link to light in case OP or anyone is interested.

The clip/magazine is the such a great divider between a gun nut and a guy who has guns.

If I'm gun shopping I ALWAYS call them clips. Trolling gun nuts is great fun because they're nuts. I know the difference, but who gives a frick? Pawpaw called em clips so I will too.

The gun industry is the only one I've seen that is this way. Nobody at lowes corrects me when I ask where the hose pipes or the ice boxes or the hot water heaters are. The guy at the fishing counter doesnt freak out when I ask him where the zebcos are. Nobody cares if you call a root beer a coke. Pompous arse gun nuts cringe and writhe in agony if they manage to hold back correcting when they hear "clip" from a guy holding a handgun.

It's a horrible look and yall need to chill out with it. Nobody of decent sanity gives a shite.

No, that is one kind of clip. That's why it has a modifyer.

Terrible, non-responsive answer. Re-write this or you will be fired.

There really are assault rifles. They are rifles used by assaulters. This is another area where you idiots look terrible to the general public.

You know they are not safeties. You know the difference. This makes you intellectually dishonest. Shame.

On the other hand, it is a litmus test of someone who knows WTF they're talking about on guns. In your case, I just assume you're trolling because, at least in certain areas, you do know what you're talking about (as does Alx).

I'm willing to educate/work with the ignorant.

But, don't come around here with that weak sauce that clip is RIGHT (it isn't, unless it is actually a clip, which a box magazine certainly isn't) and that magazine is WRONG (again, it is spot on, precise and the universal industry and expert user term).

I'm not trolling. The gun nuts need to chill out with that shite. These dudes feel like they've elevated themselves when they correct somebody on this. Nobody gives a shite.
