I am very happy with what I purchased from KUIU. Forloh has some stupid expensive stuff but their Deep Space baselayer top is awesome for $109. And, their stuff is American made.

Base layer I use Russell Athletic I got from Walmart, they are all about the same. In my opinion, they are pretty much a dry fit type unless you get them insulated or wool.
I have a couple Scentlok mid season type sets that are good for cool days and I use them as a mid layer when it is really cold.
I have Sitka Incenerator jacket and Fanatic bibs.
I have several tops and bottoms that match that I use for Louisiana hunting for hot weather, Kuiu, Sitka, Scentlok, Scentblocker. I’ve used the Sitka when it was 19 degrees with wind and 15 degrees with no wind and stayed plenty warm.

Bought Nomad this year as well. Reasonably priced, and quality stuff. They run quite a few sales from their website 40-50% off.

We used to use Prym1
But switched to Treezyn camo this year.

Here is a pic of my son wearing Treezyn in Arkansas.

Not first light merino ... boughtba hoody in nov and wore it duck hunting under bibs and its all pilled and rubbed up. Contacted FL they said thats normal wear .... well maybe after 5 yrs but not after wearing it 6x. Bye first lite

That's weird. My first lite merino hooded shirt is my favorite. I've easily worn it >100 times as either a base layer or only layer and it's been washed many times. Still in great shape. I do not put it in the dryer at all.

Kuiu attack pants are my favorite pants I've ever owned.

Got 4 pair. Only complaint is they are a bit tight in the crotch so you may need to size up.

Yes, subtle brag.

If you are Box Shooting just wear what you want. But, you will need a $600.00 matching combo for photos.

This thread was intended to be about clothing.

I've worn a bunch of cheap cabelas shite for years. Haven't had any good base layers besides a walmart pair of long johns. When its super cold, i feel like i need to wear like 5 fricking layers of every sweatshirt and jacket i have. Gets job done but i feel like treating myself. I want better more effecient clothing. This just isn't about wearing cool camo even though i make no apologizies for making camo look cool. My cheap pants are starting to look like they've seen better days.

I did buy a bunch of first lite gear yesterday. Bought Kiln Long john base bottoms and their Wick LS Crew base top. Their furnace quarter zip, obsidian merino pants, Solitude insulated jacket, New beanie, liner gloves and a pair of socks. I'm gonna get it in and really see how much i like them and decide if i'm going to keep it or keep looking.

Get a nice base layer from fiest lite. Spend money there. And get whatever camo you like from magellan. U will be fine in south MS/LA

I’ve got a hodgepodge of deer hunting clothes.

When it’s in the mid-low thirties, this is what I wear:

Base layer- BCG moisture wicking tops and bottoms
Mid layer- Some thick Underarmor “Storm” sweat pants and a thin Mountain Hardware fleece jacket
Outer layer- Thick wool camo coat and brown Carhartt overalls

Cheap, noname camo fleece neck gater and a thick brown wool beanie

I’ve hunted in Montana a few times. We show up decked out in Kuiu and first lite. The locals get out the next truck in flannels and jeans.

Anyway, I like Kuiu bc the clothes are made to be layered. They use materials that block wind, stay dry, wick moisture, and keep you warm all while being lightweight. They clothes do fit a little tighter bc like I said they later on top one another. But I usually size up and it’s fine. I also buy most of my stuff used on rokslide. Try it out. If I don’t like it, I resell it.
