The outdoor board has morphed from a given specific set of topics into a more of community, which most of the posters, especially regulars, don’t seem to have a problem with the direction it’s taken.
If you want to talk about hiking, camping, or kayaking there have been quite a few threads, very long threads, about all of those topics. Give them a bump, or start your own new thread, coming in here without being a douche will yield better discussions

Hell, I'd just like to know what brought this about in the first place.
Had to be DB bitching, because no one else seemed to have a problem with garden and lawn threads.
I wonder where threads about achromatic ice chests will go in the future...

The OT has devolved into a cesspool of one liners.
The Tiger Rant needs a murilax enema.
This board has stayed basically the same.
The Movie/TV board has gone down since the Star Wars movie that everyone hates. Threads about sexual preferences, and the gender of the movies' characters, have become an everyday occurrence. That board used to either ignore, or chastise those kinds of posters.
I miss the Terrence Malick movie threads, where I used to get told I was a moron for not getting it. Nobody says, "I guess you need chase scenes, and gun play to be entertained." anymore. I miss that. It's sad that I'm the intellectual now, and everyone else is watching super hero movies, and the R-rated original programing on Netflix.

I dropped off for a while, but have been visiting a lot more lately. While reading through this thread seeing a lot of familiar names got me thinking, it's been a long time since I've gotten in a C&D thread. Lots of good conversations occur after 6pm on the OB.
