If you're going to do this be sure to cover your balls with a latex layer first then a cotton layer (like a sock) to properly steep the burweed with round up.

What confuses me is the people who say it will kill traffic here, then also say it is only a few topics. If it is only a few topics, then how would it kill ob traffic?
The new forum would cover the few lawn and garden threads here, combined with other topics like plumbing questions, is this a foundation crack, what is better Trane or Carrier, what did you pay for quartz countertops, how much do you really save with double-paned windows, what is the best deck stain, etc.
I think it is a great idea and long overdue.

So you're saying that the board should split because the threads that interest you (hiking, camping, etc.) get drowned out by the "shoot the shite about whatever" threads (lawn, garden, etc.)? But at the same time these threads don't cause more, or too much, traffic?
What is your ideal scenario, to be able to check the board once a week and see everything on the first page? We can already see most posts on the first page going back a day or 2.
I'm honestly just trying to see your side of things, which is sometimes hard to do over a message board.

Nah. This is something I can be serious about. If we could get the amateur farmers and mechanics their own board, I'd spend less time messing with people and more time discussing things I care about.

Ideally, we'd get rid of the threads that aren't related to the board and increase traffic of people who want to talk about the things Chicken calls out.
