How do I (preferably legally) get rid of these things? I have around 8 of them hanging out in my pond every day. I never had this problem until I established a mallard population.

If they are in fact in your pond, that’s trespassing and you can call the cops. Otherwise I would just call your state representative. I’ve heard they have been bussing them to large cities, so maybe that’s an option.

Legally I don't think there is a whole lot you can do but wait until next season.

My dogs do a pretty good job of keeping them from getting too comfortable.

Yes, the first thing you do is make a roux.

They are the best eating ducks and since they are typically dumber than a box of rocks I would think taking them out with a pellet gun at close range would solve your problems.

How did we go from something so smart and regal to something so stupid and trashy?

I don't know if I've ever seen a bird as dumb as a whistler.

8? Rookie numbers. We’ve had easily 50-60 in our backyard at a time.

So it's only gonna get worse. LDWF just needs to let us treat them as feral hogs at this point.

Hell, they won’t even let us shoot em during teal season. It’s like they want them to take over?

There have been some clever and amusing trolls and "faux" characters on this board.

But he's not one of them.

He's basically LARPING being as obnoxious as possible just to see what happens
