I think the way he's nonchalantly holding the serpent close to his face and the facial expressions he's making are hilarious.

My son was bitten by a cottonmouth when he was around 4. Spent about 2 weeks in the hospital. He is now 13. It bit him in the forearm, and he still does not have full use of his hand because of the severe scarring in the forearm muscle. frick those things and anything that looks remotely like them.

He thought he was Steve Erwin FWIW. Trying to catch the snake. Nonetheless, those bastards deserve to die.

Sorry to hear about your son. My 5 year old daughter is growing up to be the naturalist I am and she she wants to pick up every kind of creature she sees. I've taught her about venomous snakes, but there's still a good chance she would try to grab a "pretty" copperhead and get bitten. That wouldn't change the way I feel about them though. They have their place here just like we do.

Nah dude. Should've just given him a benadryl and a pain pill and let him go to sleep.

I'm guessing by the angle of the light and the fact that he's in Arkansas he found the snake one cold morning when it was lethargic. That said I'd soil myself being near it, but it's not like he picked up a full sized cobra kang at full body temp...

As everyone else has said...

FRICK THAT

KILL WITH FIRE

The guy's an idiot. There is a reason the Devil chose to be a snake in the Garden of Eden.

Eff that! Found a 8-10 inch red bellied black snake or mud snake in my kitchen last night and cut that bitch in half with a hoe. Don't care how big or venomous or not. I can figure that out after their head is detached especially when you come in my kitchen at 11 PM while I'm eating leftover peach cobbler from Easter.

shite man I don't like snakes but I swear you'd think every poster on the OB lost a brother to a snake bite or something. Have respect for the snake, but Jesus don't be such bitches

Yep, and considering how "deadly" all of our native snakes are, you'd figure people would be dying left and right of snake bites.
