This is why I ultimately did not become a green jean. I have a moral conflict with ticketing an individual that has already purchased a hunting license and a WMA permit, which would directly pay my salary, because of a minor tagging issue.

This is why I stopped hunting ducks, too damn much work, money and regulations for what you can kill.
I good friend of mine got rung up for crossing a boundary in flooded timber where he was wading, the tress had white paint to mark the off limits area.
He was 50 yards inside the line by accident (trying to line trees up 100 yards apart in the flooded woods.
He had to go to Shreveport to federal court and paid out his arse for a simple mistake

I had a green jeans stop me 50 yards from my truck on opening day of bow season and ask for my license.
I told him "Yeah, just let me get to my truck and put my stuff down" (it was like 85 degrees and I had just hiked 1.5 miles)
Get to my truck and pull out my license/tags from my backpack and he says "Next time have your license more accessible and provide immediately"
I just kinda chuckled and said "ok man"
Some of these dudes just don't know how to handle even the slightest bit of "power"
Never had any issues with any wardens otherwise

Our deer camp in Arkansas gets visited by the GJs every opening weekend. I shot a doe on opening day, tagged it, logged it in the camp book, tried to call it in but had bad phone service and took a nap, for got to charge my phone and then completely forgot to call in the game check. The next afternoon (Sunday) the GJs visited. I was at my camper and left with my phone and charger. We get cell service at a nearby intersection so I charged my shone a bit and called in the deer. It was about 30 hours from the time of kill.
GJ greets me when I get back to camp and wants to Know if I'm datyat, the one that shot that doe.
"Yes sir. "
"That deer was never called into the game check."
"I called it in, can you check again?"
"Oh there it is. It was called in 5 minutes ago, deer was shot yesterday morning."
"well I had trouble with my phone and we get bad service here."
"I'm going to have to give you a ticket for violating the 24 hour rule."
"I'm sorry for causing trouble, Sir"
While he's writing the ticket we had a long conversation about how hard his job is, the violent idiots he comes across, the liars, the cheats; talked about U of AR and LSU football and all kinds of BS.
Then he says "I'm not giving you a ticket today, here is a written warning." My cousins (who have gotten fined for ticky-tack BS) couldn't believe I lucked out. There are a lot of good game wardens out there and I learned my lesson. From that day down to this I game check them in the field using the Arkansas Wildlife app.
We get great service out on the lease, but not back at camp.

That sounds like a terrible experience. I have been out of duck hunting for a while now because of this very reason. With my occupation, one federal ticket and I have to go in front of a disciplinary board and possibly lose my license. Ducks just have so many rules you can break and the repercussions are huge for small violations.
I did get stopped this Saturday though. Prolly one of the best encounters I've ever had with a GW. We had a boat about 200 yards down a highline that we were going to have to drag by hand since it wasn't a designated ATV trail. He checked us, everything checked out and then offered to drive his ATV to the boat and tow it out for us. Restored my faith in the Green Jeans, or at least this one in particular.

and you tell them "no," can they enter?
They can enter your land without even asking. Let alone what you tell them. Majority of game wardens are great and don’t hassle private land hunters unless someone complains.

Did you pay to camp? Or is it free dispersed camping?
The tent is your property and you do have an expectation of privacy in a tent. Granted it’s on public land it’s an arguable point. Dick move yes. You had no mens rea, lawyer up you will get the judge dismiss it.

Right, but I'm not seeing any wording about using a special tag, or where to obtain said tags

Man, they aren’t bad at all in Mississippi. Seems like LA GW are the devil

To my knowledge, a game warden could enter my home and check the freezer without a warrant.

Ole green jeans informed me that the tent on public land doesn’t count and dating the bag isn’t using the tags you can print off from their website. So, I’m thinking ok my misunderstanding. I didn’t tag the birds, but I haven’t shot over my limit or broke any other law.
Could someone provide a link on where one would print these tags? They don't make it easy to find. It isn't located in the tag section where you would print off the deer or turkey tags.

I try to obey the game laws, but I'd rather smash my pecker in a door than have a warden waiting at my truck when I come out of the woods. They always find something to write me up for.

True. It happened to my grandpa. Was ticketed for having over the possession limit of f'ing squirrels in the freezer.

it blows my mind that in some states the possession limit includes what you have at home already processed
