2011 Silverado with 5.3. 228k miles and still going strong. No engine or transmission issues for me so far

I love my ram. I don’t tow much but the hemi has some good pick up and go. It’s got more features than my Ford F-150 I did have but the 4th gen rams do have a known “hemi tick” issue. The 8 speed transmission is very solid and the overall comfort is great (not to mention lots of leg room in a crew cab).

ford f250 with the 7.3 gasser.
This is about the only new truck I'd consider. Ford left all kinds of power on the table with that engine; little bit of intake work, new cam, and a tune and it's a monster without breaking a sweat. I hope to pull a good one out of a junkyard one day and shoehorn it into my F150

There's only 1 that will get you to 300k+ miles without any major issues.
It's made in Texas too.

I love my 2016 Tundra. I don’t care about bells and whistles. I want a truck that drives like a truck and won’t give me any problems. That’s been the Tundra. I get 14.9 mpg in the city, which ain’t great, but that’s the only issue. The 5.7 is solid.
The F150 is seductive due to the power of the ecoboost. That’ll probably be my next truck bc 0-60 in 5.7 or whatever sounds fun.
The Ram looks great and by all accounts is comfortable to drive.
Chevy looks great (IMO) and the 6.2 is sweet. But Chevy pushes the 5.3 instead, plus the known transmission problems.

2017 F150 XLT FX4 5.0 V8 with 73k miles at the moment. Oil changes and tire rotations. It's been the best truck I've ever owned.
I had 3 Silverados prior. I used to think they were good trucks. Then I realized how much they nickel and dimed me on little crap. Just always had some little minor problems. The only one to ever have a major issue was my second one that the transmission failed at 70k miles. And after the absolute horrible piece of shite that my wife's Buick Enclave was, I'm done with GM in general.
If Toyota could get as good of gas mileage on their trucks as they get on their cars and SUV's, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

idk I watched a video of a dealership driving a new one on the highway by the dealership and even stock that thing was crazy fast, and its an f250 so its giant. Wish they'd put that engine in an f150. I thought they were supposed to do a turbo v8 or something in the next year or two but that could have been rumor.

If you want reliability, get a Tundra. If you want looks Get a Dodge. If you want mediocrity get a Chevy, and if you want the underside of your truck rusted, get a new Ford.

My son drives my 2001 Tundra, I'm in the 2015.
No major problem either truck. Gas is bad, turning radius isnt great, and the back seat(2015)- though hugh- is poorly designed - that being said, I like 25+ years of no breakdowns, major repairs.

If they would just come out with a damn 1 ton diesel they could control the market. Id love a 3/4 ton gas burner tundra too. The reliability is so damn good with those Toyota.
They put out a concept 1 ton dually with an 8 liter hino diesel and 5 speed transmission. That would have been so dominant in the hot shot market.

I'm not sure why you're being combative.
The Toyota is the most made in USA truck.
By a huge margin.
