You have an issue with Japanese vehicles (made in US) and not an Italian vehicle made in MX?

ETA: Jut trying to understand.

I had 17' GMC Sierra for a year. Supremely disappointing truck. The interior is cheap plastic that rattles like crazy. I traded it for a 19' Ram 1500 after the 4th trip to dealer for that crap transmission. I'm still a little salty if you cant tell.

The Ram has 45,000 miles and blows that GM away. Its been to the dealer once right after purchase for an ac part that was under warranty. I'm trading it this week for a Tundra because they are giving me $2k more than I paid for it in 18'.

So one upvote for Ram and one downvote for GMC

Yes. Had I meant "foreign" I would have. The language used was fairly precise.

from what i have heard from baws with EcoBoost that talk to baws that have had both ECO and 5.0, they say that the ecoboost is not the same motor.

And from what they know about it, there are a 1000 ways for that motor to break down.

Thoughts?

Driving a 16 Ram. Bought it new. Has been perfect. No issues, very comfortable, lots of power 80k miles in.

Had an F150 before. Blew the motor at 60k miles. Won't buy again.

I think Ford has gone overboard with forcing everyone into expensive features that I don’t look for in a truck,

I couldnt agree more. The public in general has lost sight of what a truck is for. Once a month they have a post on TD talking about trucks. They discuss, how it rides, gas mileage, "infotainment" etc. Yes, some of these things should be taken into consideration but in the end a truck is a truck is a truck. You want luxury, smooth ride, infotainment, etc..... Go buy a damn car. Spending 80K for a got damn pickup truck is just stupid.

ETA: I drive a 2004 SR5 Tundra (276K) and 1997 Land Cruiser (234K)

Sorry, should clarify that this applies to those with the AFM system. Pretty sure they added that shite to the 3.0 in 2021, I think.

You can't use all of the power Ford gives you anyway, and you damn sure can't use all the cummins power in a ram.

For also won’t let you have access to all the power until 3rd gear. Not sure if Dodge does the same or not.

I won't buy a vehicle with cylinder deactivation unless I know there's a way to bypass it. That's one of the dumbest ways they've ever come with to try to stretch out another mpg.

Half of those electronics in your American truck are made in east Asia.

I have a 2012 with almost 200k on it. Absolutely no problems, drives like new. Tundras don't have fancy electronics or blow cold air up your bunghole, but always starts, never has any issues, tows well and will pass everything on the road but a gas station.

I’m pretty interested to see the new Tundra and new engine. I’d trust a Toyota turbo.
