It'll never end because of this mentality

IMO, if you're not a hoarder, you're a fool.

I've gone through this cycle having had several thousand rounds of what I shoot.

Let me tell you, it was very comforting knowing I had it.

It also convinced me that 1000's needs to become 10000's in my inventory.

IMO, if you're not thinking that way, you're not thinking about your kids and their kids.

Ammo can get you through times of no money, but money can't get you through times of no ammo.

This panic didn't effect me at all.

Have more rounds than I can shoot and more than enough components to reload it all.

Hopefully the panic buyers will have gotten enough to feel good about their supply and things can get back to normal again.

Local gun store here in Alabama had a wall full of tactical rifles. And a ton of ammo, albeit high prices. I bought neither

I think the month before Christmas is going to be a great time to buy a slightly used gun. Lots of people that freaked out, may need the cash a little more than the extra firearm.

The panic buyers will panic buy every time the other panic buyers start panic buying.

A bunch of bandwagoners driving up the prices for all.

Everything else is just hysteria as reloaders are still cranking cartridges out.

You obviously don't reload. I haven't been able to buy primers since November. As far as I've heard, all primers are going to new ammo production since boxed ammo has a much higher demand than reloading components.

Same here. I have always had a few hundred rounds for my AKs and ARs but that just isn't enough. Hell I haven't shot any of them in quite awhile since i can't replace the stuff i have. I still have some boxes of 7.62x39 with $2.39 on the side

I don't think the LGS got the memo things are returning to normal somewhat. I was with a buddy in Jim's and he was looking at a 10/22 takedown. He told the dude behind the counter that Academy next door had the gun for $40 less than Jim's was asking. The guy replied " Yeah, but do you have ammo for it?". Buddy told him " Yep, 5000 rounds for it".

Only thing I haven't seen readily available it .22, 9mm and .380. Everything else is out there handgun wise.

This pissed me off. 7 or 8 months ago I could buy 250 9mm range bullets for $65.

That's the current price at Academy. Every now and then I can find 100 rds of WWB at Walmart for ~$20
