Not that I'm aware of. I ordered primers from Midway and paid the hazmat fee and then a week later some showed up locally - talk about pissed off.

Exactly I'm buy now in anticipation of this happening if the dems take control of the house or if we get pressured into the NATO treaty in the future, or if we get another president bent on an awb.

No reason not to hoard to a certain degree. Ammo has pretty much an indefinite shelf life if stored in a cool dry place. I have shot ammo from the 1930's and it still went bang. I plan to have at least 5k rounds for my mag fed rifles and 1-2k rounds for my pistols as soon as this craze eases.

Once people stop paying premium prices, I'll start stockpiling the same. I want 3-5K of each caliber so when this shite does happen again (not IF, WHEN), I'll not have to worry about a damn thing

I'm currently buying ammo in a caliber I don't even own..yet. It's called planning, not hoarding.

I've had thousands of rounds for my pistols forever and you didn't see a shortage. Stop being mad.

I realize that from a recreation purpose, yea you probably need lots of ammunition. But from a practical standpoint, how much do you NEED it? I dunno. Guess I don't shoot as much as you guys

When I'm shooting a lot, I'll shoot 800-1000 rounds in a weekend of various calibers, from 32 ACP up to 45 ACP.

It's been about 200or so per weekend since this craziness.

Most of what I have is range/target ammo. I need to start getting more SD/hunting ammo stock built up.

I bought a mark 3 because I was shooting my .40 so much it was getting pretty expensive. I love the ruger. A lot of fun to shoot.

I assume ammo is still tight on the north shore? Headed down there this weekend.
