It would be unfortunate if all of their guns happened to be on that boat. Truly unfortunate.

Pretty sure I loaned a couple to them myself.

It would sure be nice to get the whole story before ruining this guy's business etc and spreading parts of stories. Kinda what this post is doing. If he's guilty of being a dick then so be it. This post doesn't really give any info.

How the hell you figure that. I haven’t posted the charter captains info.

Well I think that's kind of the point of the post. To find out the whole story and see what is legit or not.

Thank you.

How does a boat tip over like that on perfect day? Too many White Claws I guess

those boats have water cooled engines and a cracked intake manifold on the water system is like having a 2" hole in your boat and there is no way to stop it

most cases like this are holes rusted through after the pipes get paper thin because from the outside they still look fine

Gonna wait to hear other side of the story before I jump to conclusions.

I mean if we are gonna raise hell, why didn’t the person that took the picture of the boat capsized with women and children floating in the water still in the boat taking pics? Shouldn’t they be out there trying to rescue them instead of taking pics?

The worst part of this story is the name on the non-Samaritan captain’s boat is “da chit”.

That’s some chitty boat-naming.

I guess I misunderstood. I figured the person there taking pics could have posted the whole actual story. If you have pics and and post them on Facebook then why not the whole story??

I have no idea what went on and am not supporting or condemning the captain

Regardless of the number of boats on scene, that Captain should have reported to station and stood by in case of need to render assistance. Period.

How many people carry a boat wood dowel plugs. Only something old school boaters carry on board.

I'm ordering some. Never heard of them previously.

Supposedly a thru hull fitting failed.

Upgrade your bilge now if you can't pump out more than 1000 gph.

My boat had a 500 gph that I replaced with a 3000 gph bilge. On a float or an auto. Don't need it til you need it.

That does not look like a charter captain’s boat. On a good day at the lump you pretty much see every captain out there...ain’t no one rocking that old thing. ALL are giant center consoles now.

If you have a tire blow out, wreck your car and are injured, should you not receive any help? I mean, you are responsible for your vehicles tires. If you’re laying in the Road, should other motorists just drive by?

You can preach responsibility all you like, you still sound like a douche considering there’s a kid involved. A kid who probably didn’t have a say in being on the boat.

I thought it was a criminal act to not render aid in a maritime accident?

I’m not sure that this is an actual charter boat. The reason why people are calling him a charter captain is because he had it listed on his FB or LinkedIn account as an older job description.

Nobody mentions the captain of the boat that sank for not having an inflatable or god forbid putting the plug in, faulty brilge pump, or checking his boat for the safety of his family. Let's not forget...his boat is the one that sank and endangered his family. Could it have not been his fault? Sure but odds are it was sloppy maintenance

That offshore fishing is serious business. Yeah everything has to be in pretty perfect order when you go to sea.
