This is my first attempt at making a holster. I'm not thrilled with the dye job and some of the shaping. But, it fits well and is functional, so I won't complain much.

Damn fine work. I carry my 1911 everyday in a similar style Galco.

First holster. I've done a fair amount of work with leather, making hawk hoods, dog collars, and such. This was a bit different than what I'm used to doing though.

Nice job.

Do you have a leather stiching machine or was that done by hand?

Nice!

Pretty much matches your Ruger's grip too.

It's hand stitched.

Oh, I'm not upset. I'm fairly happy with it. The dye just didn't come out as I'd envisioned, and there are a few little things that could have been done better. But, overall, I'm pleased.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.

This is awesome Teague. I've always wanted to try a leather project. Where do you purchase your leather from?

The leather for this holster came from the Tandy leather store in Springfield, MO. I was out there for work about 5 years ago. I don't have much use for this heavy leather, so I still have most of it left. There are better places online to get nicer leather though. I just happened to have this, and decided to give it a shot.

Looks great - no complaints should be needed - I would buy that if looking for a holster.

Looks pretty good, You should be proud to wear it. Teague. You didn't waste any time getting the project done, either. What's next on your plans?

I probably could have finished it in a couple of days. But, I had to wait on dye and a couple of other things I ordered.

I don't have any immediate plans to do anything else. I'll probably eventually make another style or two to see what I like best. And, I may make another one like this once I've fine-tuned my process a little more.

Anyway, thanks again, everyone.
