I read through the entire thread. Y'all are nuts.

I'm fascinated with deep water, but it (and the things in it) is also my only damned fear.

If I can't swim to shore, count me out.

Deep is not an issue if the waters over your head it doesn’t matter if its 20 or 2000’ ft deep .... it over your head
I know 2 guys that fell off sportfishers while having a pee off the back deck in the middle of the night. Both had to swim to a rig and were rescued by their boat when they were found missing .. morale of the story is don’t pee off the back deck alone

breton sound marina to chandy islands in a 17ft trihull.

fourchon to blue water in 19ft bayboat to dive a couple times.

side note- whomever was taking about those 5's in Lake P...yes indeed, lake P get's hairier than a witches tit, no doubt! Some of the nastiest stuff I've seen is coming in through the rigolets from Orange beach into nola via boat. Enough to shake your insides out.

True. Was looking at a Pathfinder 2600 HPS beside a Pathfinder 2400 TRS recently. The 26' seems 50% bigger...it is not, but it sure seems that way.

The huge bay boat seems to be the current trend. Pathfinder has a 26 bay boat, Contender a 25, Triton has a 26 now, Ranger a 25, Sea Vee has a 27' bay boat now.

I remember when Pathfinder came out with their 24 and people thought it to be a barge.

I believe it. Haven't been on the lake much, but I've seen easy 4s slapping the bridge as I drove across on more than one occasion.
