It's always fun catching reds on old cypress stumps in the brackish stuff

I have caught reds at Pointe Aux Herbes (Point Dab) in Lake Des Allemands about 6-8 years ago.

Have heard of reds caught as far north on the Sabine River as Starks Lousisana. And as far North as Kinder in the Calcasieu river.....so no telling

North side of Lake Lery, near Big Mar. Not necessarily inland, but there's not much salinity, if any, up there.

We've caught them in 100% fresh water in the Bayou behind my house growing up. After a hurricane or some crazy weather event, they'd get all turned around and make it there. probably 20 miles from what one would consider the bayou to turn salty.

I caught a redfish fishing under the twin spans in Houma. I've also musdered some 12 1/4" trout in the Houma Navigational Canal at night as far north as the Offshore Specialty Yard.

During the drought about 10 years ago there were specs caught near Blind River Bar. That is a long way from the gulf...

My office is on the intracoastal about .5 miles from the Houma Nav intersection. I've heard stories of specks being caught there.
I've caught reds/specks/bass/bream in lake Salvador and Delta Farms
