So the truck should last him 300 years at 1500 miles a year.

If you buy trucks as an investment, I have a bridge I want to sell you.

Dust, thanks for pointing that out, I was about to pull out the phone to do the math.

Duramax. You can get an 05-07 Chevy/GMC DRW 4x4 for reasonably cheap w/ +/- 100k miles. You won't be sorry.

He will be sorry that you posted information about a brand that he wants nothing to do with. Additionally, he wants to buy new. He said this in the OP and after some other brilliant poster mentioned buying used.

Just messing with you, but really.

I agree with ICS. The gas engine is the better alternative for the cost and needs of the OP.

My next truck will be an F350 gas burner.

For 12k lbs a diesel certainly isn't necessary. The new gas burners will drag that around all day with no problem. You can even get 4.30 gears ( ) which will let you yank the axles out from under stuff that 10 year old diesels couldn't even get rolling.

The 6.7 diesel is an incredibly bad SOB and the resale will be great on it assuming no catastrophic failures show their faces in the upcoming months. You don't need it for what you're talking about, but you would almost definitely be happier with it. Maintenance is high as hell on them, fuel is expensive, DEF is expensive, but they will pull battleships across the country.

I guess it's just in what you want. I'm not a fan of modern diesels because they cost so much to operate, but they are awesome.

Good trucks but in gas form, leaves a lot on the table. Used to work for LADWLF and we had 3/4 Rams and F250s. Both gas. Agents begged for the F250s with the 6.2 over the 5.7.

Do you like watching fast cars race on a track? Would you consider yourself a fan?

I wouldn't even consider a dodge if I was set on a gas burner.

Ford left everybody in the dust on these latest models IMO.

People once believed that Boats and Bourg were the same poster.

ICS, I do like to watch cars turn left in circles at a high rate. I am a fan of a Hendrick driver.
