Ford left everybody in the dust on these latest models IMO.

I am 100% biased but I agree. From the 3.5 to the 6.2 and the cherry being the 6.7.

I wouldn't even consider a dodge if I was set on a gas burner.

I would still consider the 6.7 Cummins, no doubt, though.

Dodge gas burner 1 ton=stupid horrible gas mileage. I drive my 1/2 ton like a grandpa and I get 12.

I would probably get a cummins instead of the 6.7 ford for a few reasons.

I wouldn't get any modern diesel unless I had to though.

I collar my dogs because it is a known rule that uncollared dogs get shot. In addition even collared dogs get shot if they come across the wrong OB member.

Well, as the resident alter caller outter, I am convinced that you are not an alter. You are just a quick learner. Enjoy your stay, sir.

If I was indeed an alter, which I am not going to admit to, why would I risk admitting that I was an alter at the risk of getting banned by the resident OB admin?

Oh I agree 100%. But since you are not an alter, you have nothing to worry about.

Go shake your head at someone else. I am trying to help indoctrinate you to the OB, since you are new here and all.

I have no experience with the new diesel but talked to a hot shot driver at work that has a new one that said when he is loaded his mileage drops out horribly. That's just one guy so take it for what it's worth

That's going to happen with any pickup truck if it's seriously loaded. They don't have 18 gears to pick from like a big rig does.

ETA: And with the way the OP is talking about using it, I'd get something set up as much like a stump puller as possible.

Not a big deal when only towing 1500 miles a year. Actually, it was around 500 miles towing, 1500 miles total. Its the $7500 upgrade that is the issue.
