Over the past couple of years, I’ve had so many damn shoes have the soles come unglued and have yet to find anything that works well. Even contact cement doesn’t work well.

Any suggestions?

if contact cement isn't holding you aren't doing it right. If you don't apply enough pressure it is not going to hold. If you don't have clean surfaces it is not going to hold. If the surfaces don't match, it is not going to hold. If everything is right it is damn near impossible to physically break the bond.

There a time shoes were recommended simply by having Vibram soles. The last pair I had that came unglued had Vibram soles.

These damn foam soles they put on running shoes these days. They wear flat in a few months, then get slippery as frog snot when wet.

Gorilla Glue clear super glue. I’ve repaired tons of shoes of all style with it.

I’ve needed to peel myself off the garage floor if it is wet. Slipperier than ice skates.

Shoe Goo has been holding the soles on my upland hunting boots for 10 years. They were separated when I was burning a field that got out of control slightly.
