If you are around after labor day shooting dove in cherry orchards is da bomb! Dubs love cherry orchards...better than corn, wheat, apples, grapes etc etc etc....the truly magical place is the edge of a cherry orchard and a wheat field with water nearby....it ain't New Mexico good but its as good as most dove shoots in the SE....only lasts about 2 weeks though before a cold front pushes in and birds move on.

I’ve been to Montana once back in early 2000’s. Camped out in a tent for a few days. All I did was fish creeks during the day and drank at the local watering hole at night. What a beautiful and quiet state. I just felt at peace when I was there.

As for May: I turkey hunted here in late April and May. Weather was beautiful. Only snow on the tops of some of the peaks. Green grass and flowers in the valleys. It would really only be miserable here about three months. Jan-March.

I’m headed to Grand Teton and Yellowstone on August 2nd.
