Just curious as to what brand or type of camo most here go with?

Do you just go cheap as you can find at Wal Mart or Academy?

Do you spend a bit more on stuff like under armor, scent lok, browning, ScentBlocker

Do you go all out with the high dollar stuff like Sitka, Kuiu, Asio

Just talking about hunting mild environments with occasional freezing weather like most of us here probably do. Not talking about hunting Just crazy extreme cold conditions or up high in the mountains

Last few years I have been using Nomad and Magellan. I also like wrangler outdoor pants for the money.

I have a nice UA base layer shirt that has kept we warm in less than 20 degrees temps in the duck blind or on a deer stand. I'll throw a dry fit type Magellan long sleep camo shirt over it, and be good to go. I also have a set of Academy brand insulated waders that have always worked fine to keep me warm, as well. I'll buy UA if its on sale, but typically stick to the store brand shite at Academy. I have a couple button down Magellon shirts for when its cool, but not cold enough for a base layer. And I have one Carhartt type heavy coat. Those items have been all I've needed.

I have a pretty mixed bag, and have begun going away from camo and towards solid neutral colors, but I don't bow hunt.

I have pieces from Under Armour, Sitka, KUIU, First Lite, Game Winner, Nomad, Wrangler, Eddie Bauer, Magellan, and I'm sure some more.

The high dollar stuff is nice, but probably overkill for the places I hunt. Most of the high dollar pieces I own are the result of my wife asking what I want for a birthday/christmas and fowarding her a link to a first lite jacket because I cant think of anything else.

i shoot that same bow.

I go cheap wal mart/academy stuff for early bow season/warm weather. I've been slowly upgrading all of my cold weather gear. I'll probably go with a full first light suit. The Sitka that I've tried on is too loud for my taste.

I have a mixed bag as well

Got some older cheaper stuff from years back and used to be all I wore (Academy / Wal Mart)

Bought a scent lok set up back when it became en Vogue and used that for a good bit. Bought a shite ton more of it a few years ago when that 50-60% off code leaked out and went viral

Just bought my first “high end” set up I’m waiting to come in from SKRE

90% of my stuff now is Sitka but I also don't pay full price for it...

For western hunting, I believe the quality line is a great investment.

For whitetail, especially down here, it's not. Midwest? Yeah I like my Sitka stuff but it isn't necessary

Magellan pants seems to hold up well for the money. Bought some underarmour pullovers and long johns from back when they had realtree patterns. It wasnt cheap but it's good stuff and has held up well over 7+ yrs- thin and warm, layers well over/under everything else.

Have some cabelas jackets & waterfowl parka in max-5 way back before they were BPS. most versatile things ever. These days, I usually wear what ever I want under those. Redhead is absolute shite and I would not buy Cabelas branded stuff now.

I'll be honest, I wear jeans and a matte colored t-shirt unless its cold and I need to wear my coveralls. I quit buying into all of the hype around camo, cover scent products, etc a couple years ago. I've still managed to fill my freezer each year since just staying down-wind of my hunting spots and not making a lot of movement or noise. I do swap to scent-free soap, deodorant, and detergent during season though.

Edit to add that I don't hunt out west, otherwise I would 100% understand needing premium clothing for that balance between lightweight, durability, and warmth.

I tend to wear the same carhart pants every hunt and the same 2-3 carhart style shirts, depending on weather. I keep a zip of fleece, rain jacket and a pair of Columbia bibs that must be 25 years old in the truck, if needed.

First lite has 20% off their whitetail stuff right now, that’s what I have for really cold weather. I have their merino base layers too. If temps are nice and it’s not raining, clothes quality doesn’t matter all that much. If the weather is cold and rainy and you don’t have a washer and dryer to use each night, quality clothes can make a big difference.

Majority of my hunting clothes is First Lite, followed by KUIU, Badlands, a Sitka Celsius jacket, and then store bought stuff. People will hate because yes, you can kill deer wearing your yellow Sorrento Fire Chief cotton sweatshirt, but I just found it's worth the money.

The clothing last, doesn't fade. The fit is way more comfortable than lower quality stuff. I don't wear cotton anymore. Zip off base layer bottoms have changed the whole thing for me. No need to take boots off to put on or take off base layer bottoms.

I went to a Horn Hunter frame pack. It's way more comfortable and one of the big reasons I wanted it is to stuff it with clothes. Lots of times it is 30-35 degrees with high humidity, bone chilling cold in the early morning. By noon it may be 70 degrees and hot. I don't drive up to my box stand in a golf cart like some.

And IDGAF about the pattern. Some stuff I have is solid colors. I don't care about the camo patterns, only fit, comfort, usuable pockets and features like pit zips, zip off bottoms, built in hood etc. I've slowly built up my First Lite stuff, it is fantastic. KUIU isn't really for anything but western stalk hunting, backpacking. The Sitka Whitetail line is fantastic as well.

wear camo for duck hunting and dove hunting. Never wear it for deer - rifle hunt out of a blind. No need for camo at all.

I only wear camo for turkeys. Usually bottomland or greenleaf. When it comes to deer, I’m wearing carharts and a flannel shirt/jacket. My waders are bottomland.

1+ That's pretty much what I do as well, except I like brown/green colored jeans (w/ side pockets in the legs). If it's a little cool, I wear flannel lined jeans. Hunter orange is required where I hunt so on top of my base wear I wear a hunter orange l/s shirt, (button up if cool, l/s t-shirt if warmer) w/ a hooded hunter orange sweat shirt on top. As it warms up, I take off a layer of shirt, but will still have hunter orange. All my hunting is from tower stands.

I use First Lite and Kuiu, not for warmth, but for the heat. I like the 125 gram or 150 gram merino and merino blend products for wicking, fast drying and lack of odor. I have used UnderArmour in the past but they seem to hold on to bad odors (sweat) worse than other shirts
