I really don’t care if I get a shot at one. Son is in the bottom. Hoping he gets a shot at a good one.

Good luck boys.

Box stand over food plot

Little buddy heater blasting and a yeti full of black coffee. Feels good out here this morning.

Yesterday, 8 minutes before shooting time ended 6 deer jumped out and started playing grab arse. Was very low light so I didn't take a shot, but today meat goes down.

7 year old son on the trigger again this morning. I shot his first deer yesterday morning on his first hunt behind the trigger, little 5 point. He was pumped and ready to go back. Hopefully something comes out again for him.

My ladder stand in next to my lake. I keep hearing something jump in the water and see ripples. Can’t see what it is and it’s driving me crazy that can’t.

I figure it’s either a heron or a fish but I’d like to know

After one in particular in this area but wouldn’t pass one of his buddies either.
Bucks are cruising lately.

Good luck OB!

Kids these days have no idea how fricked up this country currently is... I can't tell you how many times I left OPHS with a shotgun or rifle and headed to Russell Sage during the mid 90's after school.

That's my neck of the woods. Would love to find a place to consistently hunt near home in central Texas. If you've got any leads on a place I'd like to discuss.

This 8pts hocks are stinking, so the bachelor party must be coming to an end. Saw my first scrapes this week too. Fixing to start getting right in Area 4. Thankfully I’ve killed two for the freezer before my prego wife pops in the next 2 weeks, so I doubt I’ll get to hunt the prime time. Fingers crossed for some Christmas hunting with little Lowhound.
