Just had a red Fox come trotting by. First time I have seen one in daylight not a deer but I’ll take it

That’s why you don’t shoot the first deer you see

Be the cool uncle!! One day he will say “ man he let me smoke this big ol sucker If it were his first deer I'd let him. I've explained to him that you only shoot deer this size when you don't have any witnesses to make fun of you.

And you see that ma why you teach them to wait!!!
Lol that’s awesome congrats

Significant ground shrinkage (I didn't tell him that) but he is really happy with it. Hard quartering away shot with a 308 at 80 yards. ElDX was in the far shoulder. Not a drop of blood, dogs found him 50 yards from where he shot it. 180 lbs.

He was shook up after the fact but he wasn't stuttering and speaking in tongues like me.

This was a very cool thread to read through and see the progressions of thought and patience. It happens over and over but the end result which only happens a few times a year or more is what brings us back to spending so much time and money to get in a tree like an animal ourselves. Congrats cool uncle!
