I'd shoot some birds with a BB gun and stuff them with rat poison and leave them out in your yard.

It would take 1000 tries to get something to look like that again.

One must poison a cat. One must not kill cat with hands, for one does not want bad joojoo.

Antifreeze works well.

This is the only pro-deadcat strategy I endorse.. Otherwise it should be rewarded for being a badass cat and ridding the earth of one of the stupid varieties of dog.

You need a good coon dog or two and a .22 (and some good beer for after). Go into to those woods and get it.

Haveahart trap with a can of cat food or tuna. That way if you end up catching one of your own animals you can let it free without harming it.

Once you catch it, 22 between the eyes. I'm not a fan of torture like some of you sick sadistic fools.

It may be a pest but torture is not my first though either. Killing it quickly still ends up with a dead cat. Havahart + .22 = success or just a flashlight and a .22. I had a feral Tom cat fighting and fricking other feral cats at my house a few years ago. I went all tactical on their arse. Set up with my 10/22 and streamlight duck taped to the forearm of the gun. Had more fun snipeing those damn things than just about anything.

That takes some balls to grab a feral cat by the coat, just sayin' them bastards are mean.

I have had the same problem. We have an outdoor cat that helps keep rodents away from the house. Feral cats keep attacking it. I have caught some in traps but they get smart and stay away from it. I have tried to sneak up on them with a gun but they are usually gone by the time I get locked, loaded and in position. They usually come around late at night too. I've started putting our cat in a kennel at night just to keep him from getting his arse kicked!

Two things: get a tougher cat and I wonder if he was talking about using a coat to catch it like a cast net and then whack it in the head with a hammer.

Yeah 7-8 pounds max.

However, is the OP sure that it isn't a bobcat? Not that I would expect a bobcat to get that close to the house, but I just don't see a feral housecat killing a dog, even a small chihuahua. Those little dogs can generally put up a good bluff and a feral cat isn't going to risk getting in too bad of a scrap when there is easier food to find. Also, maybe something else killed the dog and the cat was getting the free meal.
