I'm in the market for a new 12 gauge semi and can't make up my mind. I'm looking for something classic with a wood stock. I currently have a 70's model Remington 1100 but looking to get something new. Any advice is appreciated

I shoot an 1100 about that age as well. Awesome gun. Shooting an a300 now that I got from the 30% off academy deal this spring. Like it a lot too.

Benelli Montefeltro would put you around $1000 out the door. Best value out there in semi autos IMO

He could probably get the a350 for right at his budget. If it’s in his budget why not

Guys I hunt with are pushing me to update as well. Think I'm sticking with my 1100. Took my play money and bought a Grendel.

I have a Winchester SX3 and am very happy with it. It isn't wood but I wouldn't buy a wood gun of any type again. Love the synthetics.

Everyone i'm around has swapped to Stoeger from even both the A300 and the Franchi.

Out of curiosity, what was their reasoning?

OP, I vote A300 as well, but haven't shot a whole lot of newer autos.

I bought my son the Franchi Affinity compact 20 gauge.

This is his 3rd year with it and it's been flawless so far.

I'd try a few out and see how they feel before you commit to one.

Some shotguns just don't fit some people well.
