I have always liked Karchners but the last 2 times I bought there, the boudin was so wet it was leaking. It was like rice and gravy in a casing.

That’s discouraging. I’ve never had a bad batch from there. Will keep an eye out for this next time I go.

And Billy’s is basically right across the road. So if one isn’t satisfactory, you don’t have to go far.

Anywhere but Don's.

I'm convinced tourists are the only thing keeping that green onion filled crap in production.

Also, saw Bourques in PB. I can demolish a whole tray of their jalapeño sausage bread and not blink.

I posted this question a while back and tried them all. Can not go wrong with Billy's or Best Stop. Personally, I have settled on Billy's because I love the chicken cracklin.

Billy's isn't even the best in Scott, neither is Best Stop...that title belongs to Menards(formerly Don's Country Corner, not to be confused with that tourist trap by the interstate)

Best boudin in the Lafayette area belongs to Rascals located at the Duson exit

Smoked boudin from Kartchners. Also their andouille is insanely good and the green onion smoked pork sausage is phenomenal.
