Yes, and proper set up as well. I see too many times people on forums asking for advice on set up and people commenting that have no business commenting. When you are in a high performance hull you need seat time and a moderate set up until you have the experience.

Whatever gene it is that makes you want to race a bass boat in the vicinity of a shrimp boat in Dulac... I didn't get it.

Around thanksgiving I talked to 2 guys at the boat launch in Amelia. They took off in Allisons. One was red/white with a Merc and other was black/gray with a Mariner. They basically took off like a bat out of hell towards Lake Palourde. Hope it wasn’t them. Nice guys.

One of the guys owned several rental properties and a bar in Houma. Started out as a carpenter and worked his way up to be a pretty successful businessman for himself. Hope he pulls through.

Every Saturday after Thanksgiving there is a ride. This year one of the Allison guys put his shite in the woods. A few baws dragged it back in the water and towed it to the Monkey. I was surprised when it only had some scratches on the hull and a messed up skeg.

Those Allison bass boats are scary fast.

Bass fish with a guy that had one. Knew the boat was fast, but he had true racing PFD's and Helmet's . We were the last to let the dock, but were the first to get to were we wanted fish. That boat was clocked running a little over 100mph.

Oh, they used to race them on the Mississippi River many years ago.

The old ones from back in the early 1980's, the 21' hull weight around only 2K.

I feel worse for the shrimp boat captain out there just trying to make a living than I do about the jackass running that fast in that area. Hopefully that idiot hasn't bred, no chance his offspring would have a decent future with someone like that rearing them.

Dont know how but they actual have the wreck on video. Super skinny water. Should have NEVER been racing there. I have no issues with people wanting to race or go fast boats, but this was not the place to race. Definitely wasn't houma nav or falgout. Looks like bayou dulac

Me either, which was surprising.

Last I heard one guy was home, but pretty banged up. Should make a full recovery.

That other gentleman is in much worse shape and seems to be facing a much longer road ahead. Still haven’t seen a ton of detail though.
