Yeah, it’s a joke that even though the fish I dead, you have to release it because of a made up number.

Just the charter

I believe it all rests on the Capt. They take people out all the time that haven't ever fished before or know all the regulations. It's the Capt. job to be responsible for everything that happens aboard his vessel.

It's on the capt not the charter. Although being that 2 of the capt's in trouble are from same charter, I'm not so sure the charter company is completely in the clear.

They were swordfishing and had no idea it was a bluefin. By law you’re supposed to cut it off as soon as you know it’s a bluefin.

I’m sure those guys didn’t go out there intentionally trying to kill the fish.

So you can blow them like a warm bowl of soup.

Hopefully one of the law enforcement agencies will come pick it up for research so they didn't just kill that big fricker for the crabs and sharks.

Social media fricks guys again.

Thinking it was a swordfish they decided to do the flatbill thing and attention whore. Had they just kept their mouth shut, they could’ve Atleast gotten a delicious chunk off that bad boy.

The flatbill attention whore, not the video

So if you caught a dead bluefin you wouldn’t take any pictures of it?

ETA: my bad, I mistook you for CP3

I may be a googan but I can google, online says a 74"-80" bluefin is 250-300 lbs generally.
