UPDATE: The bereaved party has called my mom on me.

Not my mom, but called my father in law. He also had his lawyer email me stating I had no right to do what I was doing. I asked what law I was breaking, and the lawyer said I wasn't breaking a law per se, but I didn't have a right to do what I was doing. I asked what evidence he had that I didn't have the right. His response was that we just needed to meet. I've ignored that email. So he called my FIL, who he knows personally, stating I need to talk to him, he's got a lawyer, that I have no right to do what I'm doing, I'm not the president of the club, and he just can't believe I'm willing to end up in court over this.

So I await the law suit. I assume the local judge will toss it out.

Counter sue him for emotional distress and harassment. Then to recoup the money you have to pay an attorney

He’s just calling these people to try to get a rise out of me. It best to ignore him.

Nothing makes grown men in the south behave worse than Deer Season

I could tell you 50 stories about our sorry neighboring property owners intentionally screwing us up.

It takes the fun out of it

I guess I’m lucky. We have great relationships with the majority of our neighbors. The other we just never see.

I got on a really nice lease a year ago and I’d much rather hunt my own place because there’s no drama. People are just fricking shitty and just can’t be trusted. This is a small group of 5 members. Most are great but there’s always one.

Sounds like my camp. Myself, 3 other solid dudes, and one freaking idiot. Dude Wont put up money for anything to improve the camp, and puts his shite everywhere bc he’s a hoarder. He doesn’t like hunting, he just likes buying shite for hunting but he’s ok staying in a mold infested camp.

The manager just said I don't understand your question but we let clubs manage their own membership.
This is their policy. They let clubs manager their own membership. So this is the best way to proceed.

Have an official vote to vote out the member and provided that to Weyerhaeuser. After that, he will have zero standing left and will be out of options.

Could you get the other members to agree to vote him out? I understand you run everything so it’s your decision anyway, but just to have an official vote to end this saga. This is what we ended up having to do, and it worked.

A majority have already said they would, and if I told them the stunts he's pulled in the last 23 years the rest would to. But if they vote him out he will hound them till the day he dies, just like he's doing to me. And worst of all they live in a neighborhood with him. I moved out of that neighborhood because of this guy and my other trouble maker that got out voluntarily. To protect the rest of the members from this guy I'm taking the heat. If it comes right down to it I'll call a vote and play the group all the recordings I have of him threatening to go to Wy complaining if I didn't move one of my deer stands for the sole purpose of getting the lease pulled. He has no idea I have those recordings.

You’re a good man. Sucks that people act that way. Especially someone at that age. All of our older members are the easiest members. They are just happy to be out at the camp and away from their wives

I hope it works itself out, but if it doesn’t the voting method does work.

Sounds like you are a stand up guy but there would be a limit for me. Call the membership, take a vote, and if they don't toss this guy, find a new club. Life is too short. I deal with people's BS all day at work, I don't want to on the weekend.

UPDATE

Well boys I've been served. I am being sued. It's tough to even find an attorney that will deal with the case. He does have a good lawyer. I did consult with an attorney who doesn't have time for the case, and he says his case is an absolute stretch. Any attorneys want to take my case in Louisiana?

I've already said this, but you need to go after him.

Hard.

If he's taken it this far, he will try to hurt you financially. Make his life a fricking nightmare.

This is so fascinating.

If I were Weyerhauser, my policy would be that any SOB that calls me complaining about something stupid is perma-banned from any Weyerhauser property.
