FIFY. FWIW they supposedly will have a lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship and will be made here in the US. Holes due to wear and tear will be repaired and they will supply a loaner pair to use while yours are being repaired supposedly. IF the warranty is like that then the price may be worth it in the long run. I'd have to see them after they've been through a few seasons before I'd jump in a pair though. I know the price is on par with Simms waders and I've never known anyone that went to Simms waders and regretted it. Jury is out on them. IF I can get them at the Pro discount I'd be willing to try a pair thoug
if that's the case they would lose money on me and son.

Most people that buy a $900 piece of clothing to stand in water aren't going to return them more than once or twice before getting pissed off and throwing them away. They will not lose money.

I don't own Sitka anything but I'm seriously considering getting these. I hunt 30 times a year in between rice fields and timber and maybe 1 trip to the marsh. Waders usually last me around 5-8 years.
But neoprene is too warm most of the time and I can't stand wearing an oversize tarp that are breathable waders

I've borrowed my cousin's Simms this year and they were awesome

I'm good with my banded waders, they have it pretty well figured out in my book. I'm not afraid to spend money on shite for hunting, just don't see this being one of them

I view waders as disposable necessities for duck hunting. Makes absolutely no sense to spend that much on waders if you are truly using them like duck hunting necessitates.

Ain't no damn way.

Maybe if they come equipped with a midget hooker in one of the pockets, I'd consider it.

I already kinda said this in another thread, but you can't compare the Simms waders' price to Sitka IMO. Simms waders are designed for fishing, and fishing is way easier on waders than duck hunting. My method of duck hunting involves crawling around in marsh, stubble, and mud. I'm sure they're nice waders, and I much prefer the athletic fit of the other pieces of Sitka gear I own to other bulky camo. I absolutely love every piece of Sitka gear that I own. That said, I'd be a whole lot more willing to spend $700 on a pair of Simms G4's than to spend $850 on a pair of Sitka waders that I'm literally buying to destroy, particularly considering the warranty of Sitka waders is unproven at best.

Full disclosure, I don't think I've ever gotten more than 2.5 seasons out of a pair of waders, and that was only one pair. Every other pair lasts me about 1.5 seasons whether it be because of rips, leaks, or tears. I have a Sitka jacket back at Sitka right now getting repaired, and they quoted me 6 week turnaround. If I had to send waders back during duck season, that's half my duck season without waders.

I may be wrong, but I just don't see it. They will make money though, because a lot of these baws that worship Sitka ground would spend $100k on an F-150 if it came in Optifade.

I have a pair of the original simms gore-tex waders. They are fishing waders only. They're probably 20yrs old and going strong.z

ETA: They were not even $500

I've recently gotten some Sitka stuff for deer hunting at 40% off and it is the best stuff I have ever purchased.

Sitka makes some really nice comfy stuff, but ain't no way a pair of waders is worth that much. At that price they better last 10 plus years.

I guess they think that people are gonna buy them because they spend crazy money on their clothing line. I have some Sitka stuff and yes, it is legit, but I got it at an Outfitter discount and it still was too high really. But that clothing is probably gonna last 10 years or more. A pair of waders might last 1 year.
