Staying in the Flathead Valley south of Kalispell. Lot of irrigated farm land in this area.

This was taken just outside of Browning Montana after a rain shower had passed through.

If you zoom in you can see a deer bedded on the bank of the stream and another behind her under a tree.

This is the Hungry Horse Dam. 564' tall.

The spillway called the "Gloryhole"

Beautiful area. Not the fishing nirvana you have farther south in Montana but cutts in August on the north fork of the flathead is about as much fun as anyone should ever ask for.

Some of the roads were a little dicey at times.

View from the hot tub.

You think this will fit in the overhead?

I’d like to see the herd you and Jake would raise. A herd of whores.

Man owning some acres and a camp up there to duck hunt, and whatever on, is probably the best thing in the world. I'm surprised it hasn't blown up more than it has, I guess the harsh winters keep people at bay.

Yea, there is a lot of pretty affordable land out here with some incredible views.

Lots of cool looking old barns around the area. This is Porter Barn in the Flathead Valley built in 1908.

It’s hard living. I leave my place to head south in early November. The neighbors recorded multiple -10 degree nights this winter. My blood is too thin for that kind of weather.

Yeah I figured the winters were what kept people from turning it into redneck adult Disney World.

More along the lines of there is no large metro area within a couple of hours. Weather is fairly mild (relatively) in that area. People are soft.

Been out that way a couple of times to visit my brother in Billings. The one time I went at Thanksgiving, it was 16 degrees below zero. The moisture in your noise froze up when you stepped off the plane into the walkway. It was the Thanksgiving when Miami played at Dallas and it snowed a lot in Dallas. It was the Leon Lett touching the missed field goal T'giving.IT WASN'T SNOWING THAT WEEK, BUT IT WAS COLD.

I was in Apgar Village today, which is inside of Glacier Park, talking to a guy who worked there and I was asking him about the houses around the lake that are still privately owned. He pointed at an old house trailer that sat on a lot that was not big enough to build on and said that sold last year for 2.1 million. I said damn who in the hell bought that and he looked at me and said “some dumbass”.
