They say a CWD positive deer can live up to 4 years without showing symptoms.

Hell, that’s a better life expectancy than a healthy deer on a club leased by south Louisiana hunters

Yeaaahh it’s over now
I’ve seen the light some how

If they’re all on WQ then them rich baws need to start stacking brown.

Edit 2: makes me wonder if WQ ever imported any out of state “seed bucks” to build their brand value????

Sorry to derail this thread, but can anyone post a link to the CWD survey we all did on here? I don’t remember how long ago it was, but I remember them saying they’d post the results later and I never saw it.

Strange that is isolated to that one hunting club (with the exception of the one found last year not far away).

If CWD “has always been around” as some claim, I don’t see how it could be only in this small “hot spot.”

Anyone in the area ever bring in pen raised bucks?

Is there mandatory testing of all harvest?

If not I bet the rest if the fellas on the river are wanting to kill the WQ guys.

Anyone who bought shares in the past 5-10 years are going to be hard pressed to make their money back at this rate.

I haven’t read anything about mandatory testing.

I caught heat in another thread about CWD in Tensas, but if I was a member of a $1M equity hunting club in that area I would not allow any testing of deer shot.

If I shot a deer that I was suspicious of, I would have “lost” it in the woods and then put my share for sale in Feb.

You make good points. If I’m gonna eat it, though, I want it tested first.

I’m not disagreeing with you, but would you eat a deer that was emaciated and sick?
