2025 Suppressor Choices? Assistance with selection.

I am in the market for my first suppressor. It is going on a recently purchased Weatherby Model 307 in 7mm PRC.
I am taking a hard look at the Banish 30. Definitely getting a 30 cal, other than that I don't know. My son said to take a look at the Rugged Alaskan but I am open to any suggestions.
I am using the rifle for some large-range bench shooting as well as elk hunting and want to set it up for both.
TIA

What’s important to you? Length? Weight? How quiet it is? Cost?

I just put a Scythe Ti on my Weatherby Backcountry Guide in that same caliber. Very pleased with it.

Good questions.
Probably some combination of factors. In order of your question to be quiet, weight, and length, probably. I don't even know if there is a lot a variability in weight for them. Are we talking a few ounces different or pounds different?

Same suppressor on my bride's (no pics) Camilla in .280AI, it works for her.

I am really liking the SilencerCo 36M. It's pretty versatile, light, and quiet.

I went with a Dead Air Nomad 30 for my first strictly because everyone I hunt with has multiple Dead Airs and loves them. I have zero complaints after 3 years.

Weight can vary bc of length and material. Titanium saves a few oz. Oz matter on the end of your gun depending how you plan to use it.

PTR Vent 1 is the new hotness in 30 cal, so it’s worth a look. I have a CAT JL that I absolutely love, as far as personal experience. Moving from a Sandman to that for 30 cal options was quite the upgrade.

The weight difference is ounces, but could be substantial feeling in hand and especially at the end of a long barrel. Length for convenience of carrying in the woods/etc. would also be something I'd care about. Honestly for supersonic rounds suppression itself is probably not going to be that drastic between the top options available.

Ounces. As someone who carries a suppressed SBR weekly, for hours at a time, those few ounces mean something when they are hanging off the end of a barrel, however short it may be.
IMO weight, length then noise suppression. Going from a longer and heavier OG SiCo Specwar in 5.56, to a lighter K can made a world of difference for me. Noise wasn't as notable but the tone was.

I have an AR but I've enjoyed shooting my Huxwrx .556 TI at the range. It sparks which is fun.

I really like my silencerco 762 specwar, but it is heavy! If I could have a do over, I’d probably go with omega 300. I have several silencerco cans and love em.

Only advise I’ll give is to not go in thinking this will be your only silencer and it can do everything.
You will almost assuredly buy several more so get this one that is a little more specialized for the gun you’re shooting.

I’m waiting for my Vent 1 to come in. Currently I have the Nomad TI XC 30 it’s pretty legit.

Anyone have any experience with the Area 419 Maverick? They are open that it is not going to be as quiet as other options. Their design allows for allowing more gas through than a typical suppressor in order to allow the muzzle brake portion to reduce recoil. So louder, but better recoil management. And it's configurable to include a second stage suppressor that gets it in the sound reduction range of other options, but can be removed and replaced with the brake to get benefits from both in a shorter package.

If you want noise reduction look at the Thunderbeast RR suppressors for a little of both. Abel Company should also be coming out with their brake attachment for their line of cans.
Correct answer is all the cans to the OP lol. I’m almost to my dozen and there’s still some to try. I almost bought a Scythe Ti but after seeing reports of how thin the walls are and they can crack/rupture I went with the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC. It’s probably a little quieter than my Magnus S. Also have a Cat JL and it’s a wonderful can, but can be a hog even for Titanium. A great all around can would be a JL, original Magnus, or Magnus S-RR.

I came across the PTR Vent 1 via the reddit nerds. I have a supressor for my .22 but would like a 30 cal for my 308 and 5.56 and then will also get another for 9mm. No idea which ones to get.
