Metal Building Interior Walls
Posted by 225tigahhh on 7/29/25 at 1:43 pm
Looking to "box" in the interior walls of my insulated metal building. Considering wrapping it with one 4x8 sheet of plywood to give me 8' tall walls all the way around.

re: I would like this boards opinion on Kubotas Zero Turn Mowers

My old man has a 48" with the Kawasaki motor. It's roughly 5 years old and he hasn't had any problems with it. I'll be on the market for a new mower in a year or two and my first stop will be at a Kubota dealership.

I agree. Caught me off guard when he said 4-5k.
Metal Building Shop Insulation
Posted by 225tigahhh on 7/10/25 at 7:06 am
Getting mixed reviews about standard insulation with the building install or going with spray foam after. Its roughly a 800sqft shop that will mainly be used as a boat shed. I was quoted 4-5k to insulate the shed with the white faced rolls of insulation in between the sheet metal and structure. I'm thinking to spray foam 800sqft would be about the same cost.

Drill a hole in the knees and fill them with round up. Should take care of the knees.... and maybe the tree

I went with a Dead Air Nomad 30 for my first strictly because everyone I hunt with has multiple Dead Airs and loves them. I have zero complaints after 3 years.

Ross Louque Extermination Co. LLC out of Laplace. Not sure the initial cost of getting the traps set out but it's about $100 a year and every 5th year its around $500.

Wrapping Front Porch Columns
Posted by 225tigahhh on 3/18/25 at 3:28 pm
My front porch has 5 outdated columns I am looking to wrap with wood to give a more boxy and up to date look. I plan to get these columns painted to match the color of the front door. Once wrapped, the columns will be roughly 12x12.
Has anybody ever done this? Recommendations on a wood type?

re: Refinishing Hard Wood Floors
Posted by 225tigahhh on 2/24/25 at 11:42 am to BilbeauTBaggins
Lost color, few scuff marks here and there, old seal/stain flaking in some spots. Expected wear and tear on a 25 year old wood flooring. This is the living room so it'll be a heavy foot traffic area.
Everyone i spoke with is telling me exactly what you said to keep the wood floors and refinish. My only concern is having a "nice" refinished wood floor with young kids. I feel like tile or LVP is more kid friendly.

Refinishing Hard Wood Floors

Have about 400sqft of hardwood floors in rough shape. What's the average cost to refinishing hardwood floors? Stuck between refinishing or completely replacing them. If i replace them i will most likely not go with real wood floors.

re: How get get rid of Bahia grass
Posted by 225tigahhh on 7/2/24 at 7:42 am to Red Solo Cup
I've tried MSM Turf on my Bermuda lawn to get rid of the Bahia. The Bahia turned slightly but it did not die. I mixed per the instructions. My only guess is that i sprayed it too late in the year and it was too warm outside? Other people are telling me it takes multiple applications?
Toledo Bend Bream Fishing
Posted by 225tigahhh on 6/6/24 at 4:13 pm
Heading to the bend in a few weeks and staying mid lake not far from Living the Dream Guide Service. I've only been on a couple guided pontoon sacalait trips and never really fished the lake on my own. We always just boat ride on the bend because we go during summer and deep water fishing isn't my specialty. Would i be wasting my time bank fishing for bream this time of the year? I'll have my mother and sister who haven't done much fishing besides bream fishing under corks. Not looking for anyone's brush piles or honey holes, just some advice on where we can go drown a few crickets and mess around close by the camp. Worse case we will just booze cruise

Bahia Grass Control in Bermuda
Posted by 225tigahhh on 5/28/24 at 7:49 am
I'm sure there is a post on here about this topic already but what are yall using to control Bahia grass in Bermurda lawns? I spot sprayed the Bahia with MSM turf about a month ago and but it didn't kill the Bahia, just turned a little yellow.
