30 miles north west of you as the crow flies

Co- worker claims he saw a B&C cross Elliot cemetery Rd back in early October. I may believe him now, lol.

I have acreage not far from there. I have seen some big ones but nothing like that. Congrats to him.

Looks like a shot is in as_? Maybe a follow up.
That’s what I was thinking. Looks like they brought in a blood dog to find him.

Ooph, that does look like a tag scar, hole up top and hair rubbed off where the tag was rubbing against the lower lobe. Maybe I’m wrong but after tagging hundreds of deer in their ears and seeing them removed that’s not a good look.
He’s claiming to have years of trail cam pics of this deer. Ive seen progression and drop offs year to year with farm raised deer. I’d love to see the progression as opposed to farm raised deer I have seen if this deer is indeed wild.

Very unusual deer for that area. Can it happen? Sure.
There will be some bitter dudes who crap on this guy. I personally will choose to say congratulations to this guy until proven otherwise.

Make sure you chose a taxidermist who specializes in covering up ear tag holes!
I have a friend who put a tag back in the ear of a deer he killed and it kinda looks awesome in his man cave.

Same. But I have friends with a camp in Tylertown and they got this on camera two years ago. This doesn’t really appear to be the same deer, but he said all of their big deer have split right main beams at the end, just like the one here and the one that got killed.
ETA: bad service in the woods and can’t tell if pic posted or not. Will check later

Why do some grown men become jealous little girls over a picture of a deer? Is it triggering something? Like he can't be a better hunter than you? Or is it the size of the rack that threatens you? His rack is bigger than your rack? Why the obsession with measuring too?
I really wish someone would honestly answer those questions because I just don't get it.

If that deer was killed in Tensas or in the mid west no body would say a word. Walthall county MS isn’t known for having deer that size.
When a freak of a deer that size is killed where they are not known for then it becomes a question mark and everyone is suspicious.
As for this deer I assume everything is legit cause something woulda been said otherwise by now.

When a giant deer gets killed somewhere that giant deer dont usually get killed, by a guy with a YouTube channel and the hallmark look of a content creator, with the ears concealed, it sets off most people's bullshite radars.
Posted on 12/27/25 at 8:31 am to Tigerpaw123
What’s the implication? That he killed it somewhere else, hauled it here, all in an attempt to increase the value of his land?

I dont know the guy or anything about him and im not accusing him of anything. I hope its legitimate and hes happy. I know guys who hunt extremely hard year round and kill big bucks on what everyone thinks is shite public land in Louisiana and Mississippi so this story isnt incomprehensible.
This is just generalization:
People underestimate the ridiculous lengths some "content creators" will go to in order to generate clicks. People will also go to extreme lengths to make a canned hunt appear legitimate for credibilitys sake. When a story checks a lot of the boxes of content creator doing content creator things, people are going to get suspect of it. In the days of cell phone trail cameras a buck like that has a really hard time getting old enough to get that big.
